Wow. It seems like each week I get more and more surprised at how far along I am. This week is a big one because we’re officially 10 weeks away from meeting our little one. The countdown is on.
Not much has happened between last week’s bump date and this week, but I wanted to update you all anyway. I know it’s a bit selfish, but I like having these posts for myself to look back on! I wanna know – If you are a blogger or YouTuber, did you do weekly bump date content?
30 Week Bump Date
Baby is the Size of a: Cantaloupe {approx. 17 inches long, 3 pounds}
Gender: Little lady.
Names: Still keeping it a secret.
How I’m Feeling: I’m definitely feeling like the honeymoon phase of the 2nd trimester is officially over, because the 3rd trimester is no joke. Although I generally feel okay, I have very limited energy which is obviously affecting my productivity. I’m very grateful that I spent time months ago getting our nursery set up. I have a lot of cleaning and organizing to still do in there, but I have some days off this month and I plan to get it all done then.
I’m also feeling a bit of cramping still, which my OBGyn said was completely normal {as long as there’s no blood}. Apparently, drinking more water and wearing a belly band can help alleviate some of the pain.
Recent Purchases: Although I didn’t buy anything new this week, my sister-in-law gave us a bunch of diapers and neutral onesies and sleepers that my nephew grew out of.
Cravings: Give me all the clementines! I probably ate an entire box by myself this week, and am eating one right now as I write this post. At least I’m getting a ton of vitamin C! If you haven’t gone out and bought clementines yet this year, go do it. They are in season and are A+.
Aversions: None.
Sleeping: I’m sleeping fine, until I have to get up to go to the bathroom 3x each night. It’s becoming harder to fall back to sleep, because my mind starts racing at my never ending to-do list. Like last night when I worried for over an hour about how we were going to store all of my frozen breast milk in our tiny freezer.
Rings: I mentioned last week that my rings were getting a bit tighter. Well… this weekend I decided to stop wearing my engagement ring because that plus my wedding band was causing too much discomfort. They were rubbing together and causing my hands to swell even more. I hope that I can wear my wedding band for the rest of my pregnancy with no problem, but we will see.
Baby Movement: She’s moving like crazy. Bryan and I love lying down in bed at night and feeling her kick around. I had my 30 week appointment on Saturday and my doctor said that I should start counting kicks around week 32. Basically, I have to count at least 10 kicks in an hour every single day. This just makes sure that baby is active. If there’s a decrease in kicks, I’ll have to go in for an ultrasound to make sure everything is okay.
Labor Signs: None.
Looking Forward to: Other than the obvious thing to get excited about – meeting our girl in 10 weeks – I’m looking forward for my weekly prenatal yoga class tonight. After stressing out lately about the things I’ve mentioned above, I desperately need to unwind and spend an hour away from my never ending to-do list.
