As always, all opinions are my own. For more information see my disclosures here.
1. Consider the 365 Brand
Whole Foods’ store brand, 365, has a plethora of products for amazing prices. You can get anything from cereal and pasta to shampoo and conditioner. Not all 365 products are organic however, so if that’s what you’re looking for, make sure to read the labels.
2. Take Advantage of Sales and Coupons
3. Bring Your Own Bags
You won’t save a lot, but you’ll receive a 5 cent bag refund for simply bringing in your own shopping bags. You can use the refund for your order, or donate the savings to a local nonprofit community group.
4. Shop the Bulk Bins
I recently found the bulk department and it has changed my life. Let’s say you are making a recipe and only need a tablespoon of cumin. Why buy a whole container of it, when you can purchase your desired quantity from Whole Foods’ bulk department. You can also buy spices, coffee, peanut butter, tea and honey this way.
5. Try Before You Buy
There’s been dozens of times when I buy a product at a conventional grocery store and end up disliking it. That’s money wasted. At Whole Foods, you can try any product you see in the store before purchasing it. Just ask a team member and they’ll happily open anything you’d like. (That includes ice cream!)

I love the 365 brand! It really is a quality product. Keeping on the lookout for the coupons and sale items are definitely how I prefer to shop at WF. Good tips!
Hi Nicole! Good thing about living in San Francisco, is we’ve been required to bring our own bags for a while, so that’s something I’m totally used to. I don’t always shop at Whole Foods (but their sushi is THE BEST), but when I do, I tend to go for the 365 brand and am always happy with it! Great tips! It doesn’t have to be Whole Paycheck after all! 🙂
I love Whole Foods, we were just there on Saturday!
