One of the items to complete on my 101 in 1001 list is to answer the 50 questions that will free your mind. So, that’s what I’m doing today!
1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
I hope that never happens.
2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?
Definitely never trying. I’d hate to be 80 years old and regret that I never tried something that was important to me.
3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
Because it’s so easy to try and please other people instead of putting ourselves first.
4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
I hope not!
5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
I’d get rid of all the hate and spread more love.
6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
Owning my own company. Not sure exactly what type of company just yet. Maybe something with writing and consulting.
7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
I wouldn’t be able to wake up, go about my day, and go to bed happy if I wasn’t doing something I believe in.
8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
I’d travel more, worry less and spend more time with my family.
9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?
Very much so. I take my family and friend’s opinions to heart, but at the end of the day I make decisions based on what feels right to me.
10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
Doing the right things.
11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?
When I was younger, I probably wouldn’t have said anything in order to fit in a group of people I admired. Now, I would definitely stick up for my friend. If three people were criticizing one of my close friends, I would no longer respect and admire them anyway.

Do one thing everyday that makes you happy.

San Diego, California. The weather is gorgeous and I think my family would be truly happy there.
20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
Yes, I push the elevator button a bunch of times. I don’t think it makes it go any faster, I just do it out of habit.

Joyful simpleton.
22. Why are you, you?

33. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?
Nothing.
34. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?
Never.
35. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?
I don’t know. Maybe that’s why I don’t associate with one type of religion.
36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
No.
37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?

Not a chance.

A lot of people go about their days doing the same thing over and over. They fall into a routine that doesn’t make them happy. In my opinion, truly living means making it a point to do one thing everyday that challenges you and makes you happy.
44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
Now.
45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
