I’m currently in my happy place. As I’m writing this post, I’m sitting in Starbucks near a window, it’s raining outside, and I’m getting some projects started. This would be a lot better if I brought my headphones and could listen to music, but I’m grateful for this moment. I don’t take opportunities like this too often. The craziness of everyday life can sometimes get the best of me, and I forget to take a few minutes and show gratitude for everything positive in my life. So, this my friends is what I’m going to do today.

Below are 7 things I’m grateful for.

1. My Family

First and foremost, I’m most grateful for my family. Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m thankful for the little things my husband does, such as taking care of the dog in the morning on the weekend so I can get an extra hour of sleep.

2. My Blog

Without my blog, I’m not sure what I’d do with my free time. I’ve been an avid blogger for many years now, and it has become a huge part of my life. It provides an outlet for me to express my creativity, connect with readers, and work with amazing brands whose goals align with my own.

3. Good Health

Aside from frequent headaches and stomach discomfort, I have decent health. I’m thankful that I’m able to wake up everyday, breathe in fresh air, and walk around my apartment pain free.

4.  Quality Friends

When I was in high school, popularity was determined by the number of friends you had. Over the past decade, my amount of friends has decreased significantly, but the quality has increased. I wouldn’t have it any other way. They put in the effort to keep our friendship strong, and are always there to boost my mood.

5. Books & Podcasts

Over the past year, I’ve gotten much more into reading books and listening to podcasts. I’ve always been a huge fan of non-fiction, but have become obsessed with fiction books recently. I have a few on my wishlist to purchase and read: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty. And if you’re wondering, I’m not a digital reader. There’s something about picking up a book and turning the pages that I can’t give up.

6. Relaxing Weekends

This past holiday weekend was very relaxing, and I’m looking forward to many more this summer. Not every weekend can be as great as last weekend, but when they do happen, I soak it all in. We have a vacation planned in a few weeks to Atlanta, but aside from that, the next few months should be low-key.

7. Outdoor Yoga

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I went to rooftop yoga at my local Whole Foods last Saturday. I haven’t gone to rooftop yoga in a couple years, so it was really nice to get back up there. I plan on going to a bunch more classes this summer. There’s something amazing about starting my weekend with meditation and yoga. It really sets the tone for the rest of the Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks so much for reading my post today!
