A relaxing night in

As always, all opinions are my own. For more information see my disclosures here.

I spent much of the past weekend relaxing at home, and honestly I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Sometimes I just need these types of weekends, when I’m able to decompress, lie on the couch, light a candle (loving ones from DW Home lately) and watch Netflix. I also spent a lot of hours this weekend working on great content for the blog. So get excited!

Today I’m sharing…

Essentials for a Relaxing Night In:

A relaxing night in

1. Fuzzy slippers & comfy lounge wear: I don’t know about you, but I hate wearing normal clothes while I’m at home. So the first thing I do for a relaxing night in is change into something comfy. My favorites are my UGG slippers (can you tell these get some wear?!), cute leggings, my Beatles t-shirt and a fuzzy cardigan to keep me warm.

2. Books and magazines: Right now I’m reading the newest Elle magazine and two books I purchased for my honeymoon: The Happiness Project and Brain on Fire. If a book review would interest you, please comment below and let me know! I’m not an avid reader, but I’m trying to become one in 2015.

NETFLIX

3. Netflix: Right now I’m catching up on Parks and Recreation. I’ve never watched it in the past, but I’m already on season two. It’s definitely not better than The Office, but still pretty hilarious. I love Rashida Jones and Aubrey Plaza! I personally think they are the true stars of the show. Sorry Amy Poehler.

Yogi Tea

4. A delicious, warm cup of tea (or hot chocolate): I prefer tea if I’m relaxing at night and right now I’m loving Yogi Tea. But let’s be serious, I’ve been a fan of Yogi Tea for years now. Remember when I mentioned the brand back in 2010?! I was a huge advocate back then and even a bigger fan now. Here are some of my current favorites:

Yogi Tea

1. Skin DeTox: I have super sensitive skin. My skin reacts fairly quickly depending on what I eat and the creams/potions I slather on my face. This rose petal and hibiscus blend supports a healthy skin care regimen. It also has organic green tea which adds antioxidants and red clover which promotes cleansing. I love the taste of this tea because it’s sweet but not too sweet. I don’t need to add any sugar in order to enjoy it.

2. Tahitian Vanilla Hazelnut: Yum is all I have to say. This is probably my favorite tea of the bunch. It combines natural vanilla and hazelnut flavors with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and clove. I’m sure I’ll be drinking this very often this holiday season.

3. Cold Season: This is an all organic herbal tea formulated for use during the cold weather season – which for me is every season. The blend of ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and clove helps support respiratory and bronchial function. It certainly does open up your sinuses!

4. Woman’s Moon Cycle: This is clearly a woman’s tea. It’s formulated with Dong Quai, which is used in traditional Chinese medicine, chaste tea berry, chamomile and organic raspberry leaf. These ingredients help with pain during that time of the month. I haven’t had the chance to try this tea during my cycle, but I drank it when I had a stomach ache last week and it certainly helped.

5. Sweet Tangerine Positive Energy: This tea helps provide energy and that’s always a plus in my book. It combines tangerine flavor, lemon myrtle, green mate and other fabulous ingredients for a deliciously-sweet citrus tea. I’m not a huge fan of tangerines, but Bryan really enjoyed this one.

6. Berry DeTox: This blend of rhubarb root, organic hibiscus and acai berry provides antioxidants and eliminates impurities, making you feel refreshed and revitalized.
