Super Easy Dijon Shallot Sirloin at simply-nicole.com
My local Whole Foods store sponsored this post. As always all opinions are my own.
For more information see my disclosures here.

You probably read the title of this post and thought, “I don’t understand. Isn’t Nicole a vegetarian?” Yes, that’s true. I don’t eat meat myself, but I have a husband who would eat bacon every day if I made it. So, every once in a while I like to cook him something special and different for dinner. When I told him yesterday afternoon that I was going to cook him steak for dinner, he was thrilled!

When it comes to grocery shopping, we have a lot of options nearby. However, anytime I want to buy meat for Bryan I visit Whole Foods. Their meat products have no added hormones and no antibiotics, and their butchers are very knowledgeable about the products they sell.  I picked steak and asparagus to cook for dinner last night because they are two items from Whole Foods’ Hot Deals. So if you like this recipe, head on over to your local store from now until Oct. 28th to get them on sale.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as Bryan did. I adapted this recipe he found on Real Simple.

I love mustard sauces and shallots! They go so well with steak, too. Visiting from Create it Thursday!

Thanks for visiting! Glad to see readers coming from the link ups 🙂

This sounds good! I also love to buy meet / fish from Whole Foods, the butchers make is so much a better experience than going to my typical food store.

The overall friendliness of the staff is a huge reason I keep coming back to Whole Foods.

Trader Joes is a great place for meat as well — also no added hormones, antibiotics, and free range! Their prices are comparable and usually cheaper than whole foods too 🙂

Trader Joes is great too! We love stopping there for specialty items that we can’t get elsewhere. They have such unique stuff.
