This morning when I woke up, I was not nearly as motivated to get out of bed as yesterday. My quads and shins were killing me from running yesterday. I knew I had to get out of bed at some point, and I don’t like running outside late in the day. So, I got up, and went for my run. It wasn’t easy at all. It probably will take some time for me to get into the swing of things.
Start: 7:29am
Duration: 36min 46sec
Mileage: 2.60mi
Fastest mile thus far: 13min 24sec
The good thing about today was that I didn’t feel nearly as sick afterwards as I did yesterday. I didn’t have extremely bad side pains either. Progress? I sure hope so. My plan is to run 6 days a week and give myself Sunday off. But right now, I think I might go back to bed for an hour or so. Lesson learned: start going to bed earlier! Going to bed at midnight is not enough sleep for me when I am up running by 7:30am.
I have horrible quad and shin pains from running up and down hills in my development. Does anyone have any good stretching techniques?
Another reason why waking up this morning was so difficult!
