Back in the fall, I was so motivated to start running and train for my first 5k. However, after my second 5k in early December, a lot happened. I started my full-time job right after Thanksgiving, so getting acclimated to a different schedule took some time. I also was preparing to move into our new place in January. After that, I started the Live Fit trainer, where cardio wasn’t suggested for the first phase.
Let’s just say it wasn’t easy getting back into the swing of things. I had high hopes to go for an outdoor run this morning, but when temps look like this:
I just opted for the treadmill. Plus, its pretty dark in the mornings now, and I’m way to paranoid from watching crime shows.
Because of chilly start to the morning, I had to wear my North Face and capris for my walk over and back from the gym. Which was a bummer because I was loving the mid 70 degree weather last week!
I love that my townhouse complex has free breakfasts in the morning. I grabbed an apple and Chobani for later.
