TGIF everyone! Although I only was in the office 3 days {I took a vacation day on Tuesday}, the week still felt long. Anyone else agree? But today’s Friday and that’s all that matters. Bryan and I don’t have a lot planned this weekend, which is awesome because I love being able to just do whatever I feel like doing. If the weather is nice, maybe I’ll make it over to the farmers market, spend time at the pool, or go to the park with Pete. The options are endless when you have no real plans! WOO.
Anyway, lets not get ahead of ourselves. We still have today to get through. Below are the favorites I have from this week. Enjoy!
1. Customized Handwriting Bracelet
My sister graduated from college a few weeks ago {YAY, go Tara!}, so I searched all over to find the perfect present for her. I knew I wanted to get her a nice piece of jewelry she’d have forever, but all the stores in the mall had the same old boring crap. Instead, I started looking on Etsy and came across a shop called Emily Jane Design. They have these amazing customized handwriting bracelets, which I knew would be the perfect gift for my sister. The product had amazing reviews {over 5600!}, so I decided to go on a whim and buy one. All I had to do was take a photo of my mom’s handwriting. I used the signature line, “love you always,” from a card she signed for my sister a longgggg time ago.
With Etsy, I’m always a bit skeptical on the quality, especially when you sometimes have to pay a bit more for personalized items. But in all honesty, this bracelet turned out to be SO amazing. The cuff is sterling silver and is really thick and durable! I ordered the 5mm in a 6 inch length, since my sister has small wrists. It ended up fitting her perfectly. I’m probably going to buy myself one too!
2. #AskGaryVee Book
If you don’t already know by now, and you don’t follow me on social media, I’m obsessed with Gary Vaynerchuk. I consume SO much of his content, it’s unreal. Basically, Gary is a bad-ass entrepreneur who offers loads of free content on the internet. He recently came out with his 4th (?) business book called #AskGaryVee. It’s a compilation of questions people have asked him regarding social media, entrepreneurship, business, and other related topics. I love the way the book is formatted, because the chapters are short and it’s literally Q and A the entire way through. I read it at the pool earlier this week and am already half way done it. If you guys are interested, I’ll do a book review soon. Comment below and let me know!
3. Old Navy Cover-Ups
So you sort of saw this cover-up in my last picture with the Gary Vee book, but I had to mention it again because it’s a huge favorite of mine. During Memorial Day weekend, I realized that I needed a new beach/pool cover-up since the only one I had previously was getting a bit worn. I stopped into Old Navy and found this STUNNING cover-up for $12 during their holiday sale. It’s pretty much the perfect beach cover up. If you’re in the market for a new cover-up, I highly recommend this one, but go check out this post about other cover-ups on my radar.
Sidenote: IDK if the model on the Old Navy website is a giant or I’m just really short, but the cover-up is actually a bit longer than it’s shown. It comes past my knees, and I like that because I can wear it to run errands after visiting the pool.
4. Bar Cart for the Win
Last month, I was baking scones for Mother’s Day and I went to grab the butter from the freezer. I shut the freezer door, turned around and heard a huge crashing sound. A bottle of RED wine that was sitting on top of the fridge fell off and basically exploded all over our kitchen. There was red wine all over the outside and inside of our cabinets, and glass all over the floor. It was such a mess. It was then that I decided that we NEEDED a bar cart to hold our alcohol bottles. I was not going to let that happen again.
I bought this gorgeous chrome bar cart from Wayfair and I think it’s looks great in our apartment next to our other furniture. Best part… It wasn’t too difficult to put together! It’s not styled 100% to my liking in the picture above, but I wanted to share this with you now anyway.
