Happy Friday, peeps! The weekend is finally basically here. It’s been a long week for me, partially because I was working into the wee hours of the night to get my new layout up and running. I am so proud of how it looks, and I’m hoping that you find it very user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. In other news, I started my content calendar for the fall and have some delicious recipes planned, including a vegan chili {that I swear you won’t know is vegan} and a spicy vegetable lo mein. Yum. I love soups and chilis all year round, but having them in fall seems absolutely necessary.
Alright, let’s get into my Friday Favorites. I’ve only got 3 this week, instead of my normal 4, but I promise you that they are fantastic.
1. Gel bead eye mask
I’ve been getting a lot of sinus headaches lately, and my normal Tylenol routine isn’t doing its job. I did some Googling and came across this eye mask from Target, which promises to help with sinus headaches and can be used frozen or warm. Since it was under $10, I had to give it a shot. I’m happy to report that this was a worth while purchase! I used the mask cold, and was pleasantly surprised when my headache seemed to be a lot less intense after wearing it for 20 minutes. I don’t think this product will work for you if you suffer from migraines, but it’s great for general tension or sinus headaches. Additional bonus: it reduces puffiness around your eyes!
If your Target store is sold out of the version I have, I found a similar one on Amazon Prime.
2. The Story of Diana
I love a good documentary, so when I found out that ABC was doing a two night special called “The Story of Diana” all about Princess Di, I knew I had to tune in. I only have about 30 minutes left to watch, but I still wanted to mention it as a favorite this week. It’s SO good. I still remember the night the news reported that Diana died. My parents were watching it on TV and my mom had tears in her eyes. I wasn’t 100% sure who Princess Di was at the time, I just knew that she was on the covers of a lot of the magazines at our house. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed reading all about her and learning more about her life and legacy. I love how poised she was, but also that she had an edge and was incredibly down to earth. If you’re fascinated with Princess Di, or just want something to binge watch this weekend, I highly recommend it. You can watch it online on the ABC website.
After I’m finished with “The Story of Diana”, I’m going to watch the HBO documentary that was just released called “Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy,” which includes interviews with Prince William and Price Harry.
3. New to-do list notebook
I recently received the August Must Have Box for review and was thrilled to see a gorgeous notebook from Fringe Studio included! With all the craziness going on this week, the notebook came in handy as a place to jot down all my to-do lists… and there were many. The notebook is great because it’s not only a stunning rose gold color, but it’s just the right size to throw in my purse!
I’ve raved about the Must Have Box many times here on the blog and on social media, but this month’s box was one of my absolute favorites to date. It had some really great pieces in it to celebrate the box’s 5th birthday, such as a mask from First Aid Beauty and gluten free chocolate chip cookies from Goodie Girl Cookies. If you’re interested in trying out the Must Have Box for yourself, sign up here and use code PARTY to get $10 off your first box {expire 8/31}. Also, if you’re a Must Have subscriber, you’ll be automatically entered to win one of the weekly POPSUGAR giveaways throughout this months, including items from Kendra Scott {huge fan of her jewelry!}, Tarte cosmetics, and First Aid Beauty.
// That’s all my friends. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! See you next week.
