FRIDAYFAVSCOLLAGE
Happy Friday, everyone! My pup is getting fixed today so my weekend will be really low-key – lots of cleaning, organizing and decorating our home office. I purchased the Lack shelf from Ikea last weekend and haven’t gotten around to installing it, so that will obviously be on my to-do list. It’s all starting to come together quite nicely.

Let’s get into my Friday Favorites.

1. Indoor plants. I picked up these great ones from Ikea last weekend and they really add some life and color to our home office. I smile every time I walk into the room, which is a sign that I love the space. I’m looking forward to getting some outdoor plants in the coming weeks and placing them in a flower box on our patio. I’ve been doing some research (on Pinterest) on how to make our tiny apartment patio more homey and I’m super excited with the inspiration I’m finding.

2. Crystals. I remember back in 2005 (?) when Spencer Pratt went off the deep end and told everyone he was into crystals. People thought he was absolutely nuts. However, crystals have certainly become a staple for many people and can be used for decor, meditation, and many other things. For me, it’s not really about using them for healing purposes; I like them for decor at the moment. The people at the online shop HealingCrystals.com were kind enough to send me a few to start my collection and I can’t wait to keep learning more and more about them.

 3. Seeing a Rainbow. We’ve had a lot of rain this week and the temperature has dropped significantly since last weekend’s 80 degrees. However, with all this rain came a gorgeous rainbow that I saw while driving to work one morning.

4. Cherry Blossom Festival. Last weekend, Bryan and I went to Morris Arboretum for their annual Cherry Blossom Festival. We had a great time walking around and seeing the gorgeous trees. (plus, it was 80 degrees!). We even saw our friend Brandon who teaches the cooking classes at Whole Foods. He was at the arboretum doing a Japanese tea demonstration.

Thanks so much for reading my post today!
