Hey hey, it’s Friday! I’m excited for this weekend because after work today, Bryan and I are heading up to the Poconos for a little staycation. I’ll be snapping away, so make sure to follow me on Snapchat @nicoleraudonis. While you’re at it, follow me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter too 😉 I’ll be posting a lot this weekend all over social media.
Let’s get into my Friday favorites!
1. Strawberry + Basil Water
You all know how much I struggle with drinking water. I’ve probably tried to do a dozen “water challenges” since starting my blog and failed at every one. The secret to drinking more water? Just add yummy fruits, veggies and/or herbs! Most people call this concoction spa or detox water. I’ve been LOVING it lately. Did you see my post on Monday? My fav is adding strawberry + basil. It’s so incredible delicious. Make it this weekend and let me know if you like it too.
2. Holistic Cold Medicine
I’ve been really into holistic medicine lately, and can’t wait to share with you some of my favorites in a whole post. But for now, I want to tell you above two of the above products. If you want to purchase these products from VitaCost like I did, use this link to get $10 off your purchase!
First things first… the colloidal silver is a game changer. It’s been used by many people since the 1800’s, and has a variety of applications. I bought the spray version and have been doing 30 sprays under my tongue every morning. It’s been helping to sooth my sore throat.
My other fav right now is the Gypsy Cold Care tea from Traditional Medicinals. I found it by Googling “best tea for feeling under the weather” or something like that and numerous people recommended it. It’s non-GMO and has elder, yarrow and peppermint, all of which are classic herbs used for centuries. I’m obsessed with this tea because it’s super minty and has a bit of spicy to it. {If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using.}
3. Zesty Summer Shrimp Salad
I made the most amazing dinner this week. I snapped all about it, but if you missed it here’s what you’ll need to do. It’s so simple. Chop up: red onion, cucumber, yellow bell pepper, tomato and Italian parsley. Drizzle with: lemon juice, lemon zest and olive oil. Then, add whatever type of protein you want. I sautéed shrimp in Italian salad dressing, but Bryan added chicken to his and really enjoyed that as well. We loved this dinner so much and can’t wait to make it again in the summer months when we BBQ.
4. The Perfect Shirt for Spring/Summer
While at Target last weekend with Bryan, I saw this Merona button-down from like 50 feet away. I immediately stopped what I was doing and walked over to it. That’s basically how I know I really need something. I’m pretty decisive when it comes to clothes – I either LOVE it or I hate it. {Probably why I don’t have a lot of clothes, because I haven’t been buying things I’m just “meh” about.} I decided to wait to buy it and stew on it for a few days. But now that it’s been a week and I keep thinking about it, I’ll DEF be picking it up as soon as possible. It’s going to look really cute dressed up for work as well as with jean shorts in the summer. I can’t wait.
Thanks for reading today! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
