Well today was a rainy morning, and from the looks of the Weather Channel, it’s going to rain all afternoon. I’m hoping to get my run in around 1-2 when it’s not going to be a high chance of rain. My run yesterday went better than planned. I wasn’t really in the mood to go for a run, but knew I’d feel better afterwards. It started out okay, but around the 2nd KM, I started to get a stomach cramp. Aren’t those the worst? If you have any ideas on how to get rid of them while running, please comment below! But anyway, I ended up beating my PR for the 5K. Crazy, right? Here are the stats and splits.
Start: 1:21 pm
Duration: 27min 13sec
Distance: 5K
Splits:
1KM- 4:56
2KM- 5:53
3KM- 5:52
4KM- 5:02
5KM- 5:20
Not too shabby, I’d have to say. In other news, I thought I’d share with you the vitamins I take daily. I have a b12 deficiency, thus I have to take 1000mcg of b12 a day. I won’t even touch actual pill vitamins. It’s the 10 year old in me I guess. The only way I’ll remember to take my vitamins if if they are sitting on my computer desk… and they are delicious. In other words, I only eat gummies. No big deal. It’s normal for an (almost) 23 year old to take Flintstones Gummies.
Here’s what’s in the Flintstones candies vitamins:
(Per 2 Gummies)
Calories: 15
Carbohydrates: 3 g
Vitamin A: 2000 IU
Vitamin C: 30 mg
Vitamin D: 400 IU
Vitamin E: 18 IU
Vitamin B6: 1 mg
Folic Acid: 200 mcg
Vitamin B12: 3 mcg
Biotin: 75 mcg
I actually wish I could take more than 2 per day, because they are just oh so yummy!
What types of vitamins do you take daily?
Please tell me that I am not the only one who chews gummies…
I actually don’t take vitamins and have a feeling after I get bloodwork back (I was getting migraines out of nowhere) I’m going to be told to start. That’s a great 5K time and congrats on the new PR! When I usually get side cramps I try to take really deep inhales/exhales while running and massage the area as I go. I don’t know if it actually helps or is just a placebo effect, but it seems to work for me!
