ips & Annie Chun’s Review

Happy Friday friends!  In honor of Friday Favorites, I wanted to share with you two new favorite snacks of mine from the past week.  The first one is a snack called ips (rhymes with chips).

ips are made with corn, egg white and other all natural ingredients.  Yep, you read that correctly – EGG WHITES!  Trust me, they are delicious and have 7 grams of protein per serving.  I love ips because they are light and crispy, almost like a cheddar puff but much healthier.  Actually, ips have half the fat of the leading fried potato chips and fewer carbohydrates than leading baked potato chips.

My friends at ips sent me over four flavors to try: sea salt and pepper, barbeque, aged white cheddar and cinnamon sugar.  I can honestly say that all flavors are amazing, but my favorite is the sea salt and pepper.  And even though I’m not a fan of sweet chips, the cinnamon sugar tastes just like a churro!

If you want to find out where to purchase ips in your area, just plug your zip code into the Store Finder on their website.

The second part of my Friday Favorites for today is another amazing snack – Annie Chun’s Roasted Seaweed Snacks.  I know what you’re thinking… “Seaweed?!”  Don’t click out of the blog just yet.

I was able to try all their flavors: sesame, wasabi, brown sugar and sea salt, and cracked pepper and herbs.  My favorite hands-down is the sesame.  It tastes very similar to the seaweed you get on sushi rolls.  The wasabi was a bit too hot for me, but Bryan loved that one the most!

The texture is definitely something to get used to.  The seaweed is very thin, almost see-through.  The great thing about these treats is that they are super low in calories.  Ten of the brown sugar and sea salt pieces only equals 25 calories!

Annie Chun’s actually has a whole line of Asian cuisine products.  You can view all of the products on their website.

I didn’t think I would like them either, but boy was I wrong. My favorite is definitely the sesame. SO SO good. I like eating a bunch of these before dinner as a snack.
