Alrighty. Let’s talk about Amazon today shall we.
No this isn’t sponsored, but Amazon if you want to sponsor a post on this ol’ blog, give me a call. Hehe. But for real. Like every other human, I’m pretty much obsessed with Amazon. I almost rarely buy things in-store {except for Target} because I can almost always find it cheaper on Amazon Prime. Plus, I can shop in my pjs, and who doesn’t love that?!
Bryan and I place an order at least once a week. Anything from vitamins to coffee grounds – you name it. Some of my favorite purchases I’ve discovered from Amazon. I read the reviews like a crazy person before purchasing, and honestly they’ve served me well so far. Since I know a lot of you also order from Amazon, I thought it would be fun to start a new series here on the blog where I show you some of my recent favorite finds.
1. Velvet Hangers
My closet was in MAJOR need of a clean up, so I gave Bryan all of my bulky, ugly plastic hangers and swapped them out for super thin velvet ones. I ordered 3 or 4 sets of these AmazonBasics Velvet Hangers, and I’ll never buy another hanger in my life. Not only do they look great in my closet, but they hold up camis and tanks that tend to slide off the plastic hangers. No more clothes all over the floor!
They seriously have transformed my closet. As Bryan would say… this is a “practical purchase.” Haha. He’s all about practicality/functionality over aesthetics, but I think this product checks both boxes. Don’t take it from me though. These hangers have 4.5 stars and over 3,300 reviews. Other people love them as well.
2. Mrs. Meyer’s Countertop Spray
I’m a bit OCD when it comes to our kitchen. I hate going to bed with the kitchen a mess, so I try to do the dishes after dinner every single night. There are nights when I’m just so exhausted that it doesn’t happen, but at the very least I’ll wipe down the counters. That’s a MUST. I seriously loathe waking up the next morning to dirty counters. Ugh. It grosses me out just thinking about it. I’ve been using Mrs. Meyer’s Basil Countertop Spray for years now, but recently started loving their Bluebell scent. Both of them are amazing and you need to try them out. It has 4.5 stars on Amazon and over 1,500 reviews!
This spray is eco-friendly and combines plant-derived ingredients and natural essential oils for the perfect cleaning blend. I use it specifically on the countertops in my kitchen, but you could use it on any non-porous surface, including finished wood and tile floors, walls, porcelain, bathroom fixtures, sealed natural and synthetic stone and more.
3. Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield Top Coat
I’ve bitten my nails forever. For literally as long as I could remember. I think it’s a nervous tick, but I do it even when I’m not stressed, so who really knows. I’m working on it. That being said, I don’t really buy a lot of nail polishes, because I don’t have much to paint. However, I like to invest in clear top coats, because I can put it on and make my stubby nails a bit better looking. One of my favorite top coats is the Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield. It dries SUPER quickly and I only need one coat to give my nails a nice shine. This is definitely not a natural product by any means, so if you know of a more eco-friendly option, please give me the details.
4. Daily Concepts Your Hair Wrap Towel
Okay, last but not least is the Daily Concepts Your Hair Wrap Towel. My hair is quite thin and dries pretty quickly, so I never thought I’d need one of those fancy wrap towels… but I was wrong. After showering, I use the wrap when I want to get some stuff done around the house without my hair dripping all over my clothes. Plus it keeps my hair out of my face. Win. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve also found that when I wrap my hair up while it’s still damp, it’s much more voluminous and less frizzy on the ends when I take it down. Believe me, my hair is typically as flat as a board, so I’ve noticed a difference.
