Oct. Goal Recap & Nov. Goals

  /
November 5, 2013

I say this every month, but 2013 has flown by.  It’s almost Christmas!  But hey, I’m not complaining.  Have you started your wishlist yet?  I started mine earlier this month because my birthday and Christmas are both in December and I know that time creeps up quickly.

It’s not Christmas just yet, so let’s recap my October goals and set some awesome goals for November.

Here are my favorite posts on Simply Nicole from October:

1.  Finish Yogatober – Did not complete.  Oops.  I honestly was so wrapped up in other things this month that I completely neglected Yogatober.  Sorry, folks.

2.  Figure out what’s going on with my chin – Completed.  I went to the dermatologist and she said she wasn’t sure what was going on.  She didn’t think it was a spider bite, but she gave me hydrocortizone cream and the lump on my chin ended up going away within a week’s time.  Wahoo.

3.  Take advantage of workouts outdoor workouts – Did not complete.  Yeah.. about that.

OK, I was terrible at my goals this month.  End of story.

1. Register for a half marathon in the spring.  Yep, my friends I am getting back into running.  After almost a year hiatus, I’m excited to get back on the pavement and log those miles!  I need to find a good local half marathon to run.  So if you are in the Philadelphia area and know of a good one, please comment below and fill me in.

2.  Start running.  Yes, I’m putting this as a separate goal because not only do I have to register for a half, but I actually need to get out there and run.  I need to find a good program to follow and start!

3.  Stretch more.  I haven’t stretched fully in so long.  I also haven’t done yoga in almost 3 weeks.  This needs to change today.

Amen on stretching and yoga. For a while I was in the habit of doing a good stretch every morning and every night. Just up to 5 min but it made such a difference. Trying to get back into that.

Perfect! I know! Stretching is so overlooked sometimes. i’m going to try even if I have to during watching TV at night. It’s a great time to fit that in.

I’m running my first half marathon this month! I’m so excited but can’t seem to shake the nerves. I really enjoy reading your blog! It has helped me so much during my training; your advice has just been awesome. I look forward to following you again during your training for your next half! 🙂

thank you so much for your kind words, Valerie! Glad you enjoyed following my journey to the half marathon last year. Looking forward to building back up my endurance over the next few months and hopefully running another half soon 🙂
