Hey friends! 4th of July is right around the corner, so I thought it would be a perfect time to do another On My Radar post. Today we’re talking all about 4th of July decor, fashion and beauty.
1. American Flag Pillow: Let’s talk decor first. I’m not usually a big fan of plastering the American flag on every single item in my home, but a small amount I can handle. I love the vintage/faded look to this pillow, and I think it would be a great addition to any living room.
2. Old Navy Striped Boat Neck Tee: I’ll be honest. In previous years, I wouldn’t step foot in Old Navy because I knew I’d never find something that I’d wear, and the things that I would really like and purchase, would wear out after a few washes. HOWEVER, Old Navy has really turned around. I own a few of their long sleeve t-shirts and they are by far my favorite casual tops that I own. I love this red and white striped top for 4th of July weekend. PLUS, right now it’s only $10. What a steal! I know where I’ll be this week.
3. One Teaspoon Cupid Bandits: A pair of One Teaspoon denim short have been on my wishlist now for YEARS, so when I was brainstorming what I wanted to feature in this post, I knew I had to mention them. Not only do denim shorts literally match with everything, but denim screams all-American to me. Anyone else?
4. Converse Chuck Taylors: These sneakers truly are the best shoes for basically anything summer related (except for pool-side). Going to a BBQ? Check. Going to see fireworks? Check. Heading to the amusement park? Check. I wear my pair almost every 4th of July!
5. Cetaphil Facial Moisturizer with Sunscreen: I love being out in the sun, but I hate being sunburnt. Plus, the sun is TERRIBLE for post-acne scarring and dark spots. It makes them even worse. Since I know I’ll be out in the sun a lot this 4th of July, I’m definitely bringing along my Cetaphil facial moisturizer with sunscreen. It’s non-comedogenic, non-greasy, and fragrance free.
6. L.L. Bean Boat and Tote Bag: I have a medium size version of this bag and am seriously thinking about buying a larger one this summer. I use it to carry all my pool essentials and it has lasted me for YEARS. It’s by far my favorite summer tote. L.L. Bean sells so many different colors of this bag and if you’re into it, you can even get your it monogrammed.
7. Burt’s Bees Squeezable Lip Balm: I don’t wear a lot of lipstick in the summer time. A tad bit of lip balm and I’m good to go. I’ve mentioned this one on the blog a bunch of times, because it literally comes with me everywhere. Seriously. It’s 100% natural and has peppermint and vitamin E. I love that it’s not a traditional stick, since those tend to melt all over when it’s really warm outside.
8. Pottery Barn American Flag Napkins: Okay one more decor item to round out this post. I LOVE these festive napkins from Pottery Barn. If we were entertaining this year, I would have already purchased these. They are 20 inches square, come in a set of 4, and can be monogrammed if you like.
