The Most Comfortable Flats in the Entire Universe

As much as I love wearing heels to boost my 5 foot 3 height, I’m much more comfortable in flats… sometimes. 

You ladies know what I’m talking about. Flats always seem like the more comfortable option, but many times they leave you with painful blisters. I’ve tried gel inserts, low-cut socks, and countless boxes of band-aids. Nothing works. I even have one pair of flats that I can only wear twice a week, because if I wear them two days in a row, the back of my ankles start bleeding. #truth.

But today I’m making a BOLD statement … I’ve found the most comfortable flats in the entire universe. 

I was surfing aimlessly around on Instagram one day and saw that the ladies of Two Peas in a Prada loved this shoe brand named Rothy’s. I was intrigued, so I did some research and fell in love with the company’s branding, mission, and of course products!

So, let me introduce you to Rothy’s. Full disclosure: they sent me their flats to try out. No strings attached. They aren’t paying me to say anything nice about them. If I didn’t love them, I wouldn’t waste my time writing this post all about them. I’m mentioning them right now because I LIVE in their flats. My co-workers probably think that they are the only pair of shoes I own.

Rothy’s is a new shoe company based in San Francisco that launched in mid-May of this year. They are focused on creating shoes that are not only super comfy, but also fashionable and sustainable. 

Each pair of Rothy’s is made from approximately 3 discarded plastic bottles! They strip the bottles of their caps and labels, wash them, chip them into flakes and fuse them into filament fibers to make yarn. CRAZY right?!

The flats that I’m obsessed with are called model 001 {aka the rounded toe}. They are super stretchy, and can be worn practically anywhere because of the rubber sole. Like I mentioned earlier, I wear them to work all the time so they are definitely dressy enough. But, I also wear them to run errands, to walk the dog, and to have drinks with friends. 

I haven’t tried this yet, but I’ve read that you can throw the flats into the washer and dry flat to clean. WHAT?! I’m sold. I’ve never owned a pair of flats that could do that!

I could legit go on and on and on about how much I these. After trying dozens of different brands, I can safely say that I’ve found the most comfortable flat in the universe.
