I’m a creature of habit. I like following routines, whether it’s a typical lunch I pack for work, things I do when I wake up, or even how I fold my laundry. I like doing things a certain way all the time. So when it comes to websites I check daily, it should be no surprise that I have a few favorites on repeat.
Aside from the websites I use to run my blog – WordPress, MailChimp and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest & Twitter), I also visit a few favorite news sites and blogs. I don’t have a ton of free time to surf the web throughout the day, so I’m pretty selective. Make sure to comment below and let me know what websites you read daily!
1. BuzzFeed
You probably already read BuzzFeed. If not, you’re living under a rock. BuzzFeed is the best source for quick, trending news. Their articles are about a variety of topics, so everyone can find something relatable and entertaining. BuzzFeed updates their site throughout the day, which is great because I check it at least a half dozen times. Their articles are shared frequently on social media, so even if you don’t go to the BuzzFeed homepage, I bet you see one of their articles or videos at least once a day.
2. MindBodyGreen
MindBodyGreen is my all-time favorite wellness website. This site is perfect for all of you yogis out there, or anyone who is interested in holistic living. Their articles are very inspirational and provide tips, tools and ideas on ways to make life better. If you’re not already reading MindBodyGreen, I think after you read one article, you’ll be hooked. It’s probably my most visited website on this list.
3. Refinery29
Refinery29 has a hodgepodge of articles. Their mission is to become a “new-media brand for smart, creative and stylish women everywhere.” I love visiting Refinery29 for tech news, career insight, and travel tips. One editor, Lucie Fink, has a series on Youtube called Try Living with Lucie, in which she dives headfirst into social experiments, 5 days at a time. Some of my favorites include 5 Days of Sleeping 10 Hours a Night, 5 Days of Meditation, and 5 Days of Waking Up Early.
4. Jillian Harris
If you’ve been watching the Bachelorette for a long time, you know Jillian Harris. But I actually had no idea who she was when I found her blog. I thought she was just an interior designer with a kick-butt style. Her blog talks about lifestyle topics such as fitness, fashion, travel and home decor. Now that this season’s Bachelor is back on TV, she’s also doing recaps which are absolutely hilarious. If you’re looking for another lifestyle blog to read, I highly recommend checking out Jillian’s.
5. Blawnde
Blawnde is a lifestyle blog written by Suja co-founder, Annie Lawless. She was recently named one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30 and continues to be an inspiration to many. Her blog details various aspects of her life including places she’s traveling, outfits she’s wearing, recipes she’s making, and products she’s loving.
