1.) Was fashion a field you have always wanted to be involved in? Or has it evolved?
I always knew I wanted to be in fashion, but it wasn’t until I turned 19 when I became more serious about it – when I started reading fashion blogs and getting into freelance styling.
2.) What do you think is the biggest trend for Summer 2010?
Right now I’m seeing a lot of rompers/playsuits/jumpsuits, which is perfect because these pieces can be channeled for a day or night look.
3.) What would be your ideal job position? And where?
I would love to be a Personal/Celebrity Stylist working in the west coast. (another Monica Rose, perhaps!) I’d also love to start a women’s Ready-to-Wear collection — I want to do it all!
4.) What are some of your favorite beauty products?
I am loving my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, my DiorShow by Dior mascara, and my newest MAC ‘dazzleglass’ in “Smile.” They complete my everyday look!
5.) What are your 2 favorite stores to shop?
My style changes up all the time, but at the moment I enjoy shopping at H&M and Urban Outfitters.

7.) For those women just entering the job field, what are some of your favorite places to buy work wear?
I think it depends on the job that you are interested in, but you can’t go wrong in ROSS — there is something for everyone at a discounted price. Not a ROSS in your area? Then check out any designer-discounted store, such as TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and find basic black slacks or crops, with a crisp white blouse or button-up. Go with black flats if you are unsure of heel height, and accessorize lightly, unless you are going for a fashion-related job of course — don’t forget to add a blazer for a nice, polished look.
