Good morning! This weekend turned out to be better than expected. Let’s start with Friday.
Friday
Friday was full of a lot of surprises.
First surprise. I got a phone call from the apartment complex I loved. The price dropped significantly on a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit! WOO. Best phone call I’ve gotten all week.
Second surprise. I didn’t realize it was supposed to snow on Friday. That’s my fault, because I stopped watching the morning news. At around 3PM or so, snow started to fall and I knew it was bad when everyone around the office was talking about how it was ruining their Friday night plans. I left the office right at 5PM to meet Bryan at Chipotle for dinner and my car and the snow did not mesh well. As I was making a turn on a road near the river, my car literally did a 360 turn on the ice. Luckily I didn’t hit anything or anyone. Lesson learned. Be careful in the snow. My little Honda Civic can’t handle it.
When we were finishing up Chipotle, all of the power went out in the mall. I’ve actually never been in the mall with the power out (I mean who has?!) but it was scary! We left right away and got home safely.
Saturday
When we woke up on Saturday, we were happy to still have power. However, there was still a lot of snow everywhere so I had to cancel our wedding venue tour that I told you about on Friday. We DID however go over to the apartment complex and apply for the apartment. Within the hour I got a phone call that said we were approved! YAY! Now all we have to do is go in sometime before March 14th and sign the lease.
After applying for the apartment, I went over to Barnes and Noble to research more wedding venues. I’m getting no where. But at this point I’m going to try and not stress out too much about it and just see if something works out.
Sunday
Sunday was one of the most perfect days.
We woke up around 8:30 and Bryan brought me breakfast in bed! He made me coffee in one of my favorite mugs, eggs and toast. Delicious.
We spent the entire morning laying in bed watching Revenge. Which, by the way is my new favorite show. If you’re interested, it’s on Netflix. So if you own a Netflix subscription go watch it now. I was skeptical at first because of all of the hype, but it is so so good. It reminds me a bit of ‘The OC’ from the early 2000s, but with much more suspense and drama. It always surprises me!

Once we finally started moving around, we drove down to his parents’ house for dinner. We also watched the most recent Bourne movie – which was terrible in my opinion. Maybe I was just tired or maybe it was just terrible. Either way I wasn’t a fan. Besides that, the day was pretty fantastic.
Talk to Me
- Do you watch Revenge? – no spoilers! I’m still on season 1.
- What was your favorite part about this weekend?
- Did your area get snow this weekend? If so, how much?
Congrats on the new apartment! I can’t wait to see what it looks like when you guys can move in! It took me over an hour to drive home on Friday! It was crazy out there! I’m glad you didn’t get in an accident! If you are looking for venues my advice would be to look at bridal show websites! Even the ones in the past list who the vendors were and that might help you start!
Oh revenge!!! I love that show!!! Glad you are okay. So glad I don’t have to deal with snow driving… yikes scary!
SO glad you’re ok!! Congrats on the apartment 🙂 I love watching Revenge too and just recently got into Nashville. I didn’t think I’d like it because it’s about Country music but it’s really amazing.
omg, i’d be beyond freaked out to drive in the snow after that! yay!! congrats on the apartment!!! best part of my weekend was spending the last couple days i had with my bf before he left 🙂 i’ve never watched revenge but have wanted to see what it was about.
Even the tiniest bit of snow can cause such a mess!!! The school where I work actually closed today because of the snow/ice mix we’re supposed to get… be careful out there!
And congrats on the apartment!
