Happy Monday, friends! We had a gorgeous weekend here in the Philadelphia area. The weather stayed around the low to mid 50s and we didn’t get the flurries like the weathermen had anticipated. I’m hoping that the nice weather is here to stay and that spring is right around the corner. Last time I said that we got 10 inches of snow…
Anyway, here’s a recap from my weekend.
On Friday night, Bryan went to a jazz concert with his dad so I had the apartment to myself for a while. I don’t know about you, but I hate doing laundry. I also HATE folding clothes. I’ll usually lay them on the bed for hours or place them across our clothing drying rack for days before putting them away.
After finishing up the laundry, I caught up on some reality TV, started writing my wedding vows, and took a brief nap on the couch. That was basically my Friday night in a nutshell.
On Saturday morning, Bryan and I drove out to Phoenixville for my wedding makeup trial. I’m usually a wonderful artist who I’ll talk about in a post later. My only request was that I look like myself and keep the eye shadows mainly neutral with the focus on good skin. She used the Temptu airbrush makeup system and individual fake lashes. I was thrilled that the makeup stayed on all day and didn’t irritate my skin at all!
A little while after my makeup trial, Bryan and I met up with our caterer at our venue for a walk through. It was pretty frustrating to try to envision what the space would look like on our wedding day, because there was still a lot of dirty snow everywhere. Bryan and I are going to go back in April and take another look before the big day.
Ok Sunday, my friend Lauren and I went to my hair trial appointment. Overall, I am pretty happy with how my hair turned out. For the day of, I’m going to tell the stylist to put WAY less hair spray in my hair. She put at least a half of a bottle throughout my hair and I just felt uncomfortable all day. I’m used to a softer head of curls and I don’t want anything different for my wedding.
Once that was done, we went to the mall to look for a headband for the reception as well as a dress for my bridal shower. Luckily I found both! I’m not posting pictures of them until afterwards, but the headband is from Nordstrom and the dress is from Free People. I’m really excited about them!
On Sunday night after dinner, I ate a bunch of fruit, drank some water, and watched more episodes of Baby Daddy. It’s such a hilarious show!
