This weekend started off pretty great. Although Friday was a lot cooler than temperatures recently, I still wore my shorts to work because the owner proclaimed it “shorts day.” After work, I finished up my goal of 15 mi a week with a quick 3 mi run. My runs are becoming a bit easier, however I do want to start running outside more no matter how hot it gets! I think I might make that a part of my August goals.
On Saturday morning, I went to outdoor yoga at the farmer’s market again, which is hosted by Lululemon. I really do enjoy these classes every week. Unfortunately, I can’t go this week because I have to bring my car to get services on Saturday morning. After yoga, I did some quick food shopping at Whole Foods and broke a watermelon. Yes, I broke a watermelon.
As I was leaving Whole Foods, I didn’t want to have to take the cart to my car, so I thought carrying a bag of groceries, a gallon of milk, and a bag with the watermelon would be easy. I wasn’t even thinking and had too many grocery bags in my hand. I picked up the bag with the watermelon really fast and the watermelon went through the bottom of the bag. Embarrassed, I called over the Whole Foods employee to help me clean up the mess. He was super nice and let me just got back inside and grab another one. OOPS.
When Bry got home from seeing the Dark Knight Rises (SHH, don’t tell me anything in the comments because I’ll be seeing it this weekend), we drove to Costco. We got there and it was closed. Who closes at 6pm on a Saturday?! It wasn’t a bad drive though, because on the way home we took a drive through a state park nearby. There’s nothing like driving with the windows down, 80 degrees, and fresh air.
Another good thing about Saturday… my Bulu Box came. More on this later this week!
On Sunday morning, I didn’t have to set an alarm! I woke up to delicious banana bread baked by Bry! We got up around 8:30. After a few hours of lounging on the couch with cups of coffee, we drove to meet up with some friends at a diner for brunch.
Check out those clouds!
Although it looked cloudy when we got there, when we were leaving brunch, the sun was sorta coming out so we went over to the pool.
The rest of Sunday involved: dinner, wine, the Bachelorette, and blogging.
What did you do this weekend?
