What’s On My Bathroom Vanity

I’m always interested in reading blog posts that give an inside glimpse of what people’s rooms look like, how they organize their belongings, and what they use on a day-to-day basis.  My favorite types of videos to watch on YouTube are “What’s in my Bag.”  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go to YouTube, type What’s in my Bag into the search bar and you can thank me later.  I just find it fascinating!

Today I’m giving you an inside look at what’s on my bathroom vanity!

What's on my bathroom vanity?

Target Makeup Remover Pads: I love these makeup pads.  I get them in bulk at Target and switch off between the rounds and the square-shaped pads.  Both work extremely well.  An added bonus – they are super inexpensive!  I use these to take off my nail polish and occasionally remove eye makeup.

Dove Revive Deodorant: I’ve been using Dove deodorant since high school, and I’ll never use anything else.  I guess I’m a creature of habit.  I love switching up my scents every few months or so.  Right now, I’m loving the “revive” scent.  It’s the perfect blend of pomegranate and lemon verbena.

Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector: This stuff is a miracle worker.  I hate when people promise that products will do wonders, but in my experience this stuff does exactly what it says it will do.  Every so often I’ll get crazy breakouts (usually during that time of the month), and nothing is worse than acne scars.  I use this stuff every night before I put on acne gel and moisturizer.  I’ve seen such an improvement!  My dark spots have gotten lighter over the past few months and I have this product to thank.

It’s a 10 Miracle Plus Keratin: My mother-in-law got this as a freebie and gave it to me.  I really enjoy this leave-in conditioner and use it once a week on damp, clean hair.  This product also has keratin which reconstructs and strengthens hair, while also hydrating, defrizzing and detangling.  I use a lot of heat on my hair (bad, I know!) so I’m very grateful that I found this product.

TRESsemme Hair Spray: Every time I need to get new hairspray, I wind up buying a travel size container because I use it so sparingly.  This one is my all-time favorite though.  I use it after I tease and curl my hair.  It leaves my curls bouncy but not crunchy if you know what I mean.

Kenra Volume Mousse: This mousse is wonderful.  The instructions say to use it on damp hair and then blow dry, but I actually use it on dry hair.  After I curl my hair, I’ll flip my hair over and rub this into the roots.  As opposed to the Oribe mentioned below, I tend to use this product every day.  It gives my hair an extra boost without having to go through the trouble of blow drying the night before after my shower.

Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray: I bought this on a whim over the holidays last year.  A girl mentioned the product on Instagram and since she had voluminous curly hair, I knew I trusted her recommendation.  She was right!  The product is amazing.  I spray this on my roots after showering and then blow dry with a round brush.  By the time my hair is dry, I have so much volume.  Like Snookie from The Jersey Shore level of volume.  Since I shower at night, I use this then go to sleep.  When I wake up in the morning, my hair still looks great.  I highly recommend this product if you have thin, fine hair like me.  It’s one of the only things that gives it enough volume.  It’s a tad pricey, so I don’t use this every day, maybe once ever two weeks or on special occasions.

EcoTools Makeup Brushes | Clinique Makeup Brushes: I’ve never spent a lot of money on makeup brushes so I can’t tell you how these compare to MAC, but I’ve used EcoTools and Clinique makeup brushes for years.  The EcoTools are sold at many drugstores.  I love the light wood handles and the fluffy, soft bristles.  The Clinique brushes were actually part of a freebie bag I received the last time I bought new face products.  They are a bit higher quality than the EcoTools, but if you’re on a budget the EcoTools are fantastic!  I don’t notice a huge difference between the two.

Silver Hammered Tray: I bought this tray a few years ago when I was furnishing my first apartment after graduate school.  Bryan and I were looking for inexpensive items to hold our bathroom essentials and I came across this gorgeous tray at Target.  That’s the thing about Target… it sucks you in.  I’m sure I went there to pick up this tray and also bought 4350 other things.  But anyway, this tray has held up beautifully over the past few years and wasn’t expensive at all!

Love it’s a 10!! It is my hair life saver. I have a lot of hair on my head, but the strands are thin, so I have to be careful what I do since they do get damaged easily. And I’m getting my hair cut only once or twice a year now (because of school), so it has helped save my hair from looking like straw!

my hair is so thin as well. I just got 4 or 5 inches chopped off a few weeks ago.

i love the its a ten stuff!

me too! perfect for before heat!
