3 Ways to Beat a Cold

This has been quite a week. Nothing exciting happened. First off, I only had one class this week, on Monday. All of the others were canceled. This actually worked out to my benefit because starting on Wednesday, I’ve had this annoying head cold. My week was spent in pjs, laying in bed, and watching endless episodes of Nip/Tuck. However, I’m on the last season of the series, so I will need to find another show on Netflix to watch. This week had me thinking about something: 3 Ways to Beat a Cold

1. Drink hot tea. I’ve been having a cup of black tea (decaf) a day since Wednesday. The warmth makes my throat feel better, and is yummy too! It’s important to stay hydrated when you are sick, because it is easy to forget to drink fluids. Drink plenty of water, tea & vitamin c in order to stay hydrated. Avoid things like coffee which won’t make you as hydrated.

2. Take a nap. I never need a reason to take a nap, because I am the Queen of naps. Naps help your body heal itself, while allowing you to take it easy. So snuggle up in bed, turn on your favorite tv show, and nap away!

3.Wash your hands frequently. After you sneeze, please wash your hands to avoid spreading your germs to others. You can also use anti-bacterial spray if you have that.
