at the moment no 2

Hi! It’s been quite a while since I published a blog post. I’ve been working behind the scenes on my blog relaunch and it’s been taking up a lot of my free time. I can’t wait to share it with you all. It’s the largest revamp I’ve ever done to my site and it will have a lot of cool new features that I’m really excited about. If formatting and fonts look a little weird around here, it’s because I’m removing plugins and messing around with a few things. I’m trying my best to keep the site as functional as possible, while still moving forward.

Other than working on the new site, below are the things I’m really into At the Moment. If you missed the first post in this series that I published from a few months ago, you can read that one here

Listening

I’ve been really into these mash-ups from CMT Crossroads. If you saw the Kelsea Ballerini/Halsey performance that went viral on TikTok, that was from CMT Crossroads. Specifically, I’m loving the Boys II Men/Brett Young performances. Their voices just blend so well together. To listen to all the songs, here’s the YouTube playlist. My favorites are“Here Tonight” and “I’ll Make Love to You” (Cheesy, yes. Especially with the roses they hand out.Whatever, I’m here for it.) Gives me chills.

Other than that, some songs that have been on repeat lately are “HeartLess” by Madison Beer, “Love Somebody” by Lauv, “Control” by Zoe Wees, and “Wolves” by Missio.

Reading

I always love reading a few books at once, typically a non-fiction and a fiction. That way, if I get bored with one I just move on to the other and bounce back and forth. On the non-fiction side, I’m almost done reading “No Bad Kids” by Janet Lansbury. The main message is to speak to your child like an adult and offer choices. Avoid asking yes/no questions if you don’t want to hear “no.” It’s been a while since I read a fiction book, but I’m bringing “This is How It Always Is” with me to the beach this weekend. It’s about a little boy who wants to be a girl when he grows up. His parents are supportive, but aren’t ready to share the family’s secret with everyone else just yet. Eventually the boy’s secret is revealed. It’s a book about change, parenting, and love.

Loving

I was recently gifted the most stunning, art-deco style ring (THANK YOU Noemie!). I wear it on my right hand ring finger. It has 14 diamonds in a 18K yellow gold bezel setting, and goes perfectly with my other rings. I like that Noemie designs, sources, and manufactures their own products. They control the entire production process and ship directly to the consumer, so the prices are better. The “Meet Noemie” page on their site is beautifully written and really resonated with me. If this sounds like you, I think you should check them out. “A woman of details, good design interests her. Never having been one for trends, she spends no time obsessing over them. She’s a surprising expert about unexpected things.”

Eating

If I could eat something every single day it would be these Outshine Strawberry & Cream bars. I think they’ve been around for a while, but they’re new to me. I’ve added them on my shopping list to buy every week, because I can’t get enough. I never thought I was a strawberry ice cream kind of girl, but maybe I am now. I have to hide when I eat them around Vienna, because I’m just not willing to share. I bought them from Target, but grocery stores sell them too. Highly recommend!
