August Goals

With the excitement of completing a lot of my July goals behind me, August is a new month!  A lot of my goals for August are things that I have been hoping to complete at some point over the past few months, but have just put on the back burner.  Lately, I’ve been really “goal-focused”, which is great!

Fitness

  1. Run a 5K in under 30 minutes during a race.  I have two races scheduled for this month.  (BTW: you can view my race schedule on the side bar).  I hope to beat the heat and finally complete this goal!
  2. Run 15 mile weeks until half marathon training begins and get back to weight training at least 1x a week.  The majority of this month, minus the last week, will be spent setting up a base for myself before my training really starts.  I plan to continue my 15 miles/week to push myself for longer runs on the weekends and less runs during the week.
  3. Purchase a Garmin 405.  Yes, yes, yes.  You know it’s on my training wishlist and I talk about it on the blog at least once a month, but I really hope to finally push myself to purchase it this month.  With the refund check of the terrible Clarisonic finally in my bank account, I have the extra spending money for it!

Personal

  1. Organize my important documents into my own filing cabinet.  Currently, a lot of my documents are in Bryan’s lock box; however, I want my own so I can color code it the way I want.  Haha, control freak/OCD much?
  2. Really start taking time to develop a small business project that I may want to start.  More details on this to come maybe.
  3. Cut down my iced coffee addiction and supplement it with water!  Much needed.  I’m addicted.

Blogging

  1. Start a Youtube account for the blog.  I had a beauty youtube account that I used for all of about 6 months, but never felt super passionate about keeping up with it.  I hope to develop an account to be used to supplement Simply Nicole and focus more on healthy living, running, fitness, and healthy recipes.
  2. Update my media kit pronto!
  3. Update my Favorites page.

July was all about fun. August will have a bit more getting back on track with my eating, working out, and finances, but serious buckling down starts in September.

Thanks, Sarah! Yea, it’s in the works now. I have a lot going on right now but I hope to have something up by the end of August!

August, my goal is to continue to ENJOY summer, but also to start getting in work habits and schedule so I’m ready for September.
