The Cutest Christmas Morning PJs

Christmas is one of my favorite mornings of the year. I remember Christmas mornings as a kid so vividly.  At the crack of dawn, my sister and I would wait at the top of the stairs until our parents were ready for us to open presents. My sister held my ankles as I laid down the steps on my stomach trying to see the presents. (Thank you Tara for never letting go!) My mom waited downstairs in her nightgown and slippers, coffee in hand with holiday music playing. My dad stood at the bottom of the steps with his massive video camera on his shoulder filming every second. 

Each Christmas with Vienna gets better and better. This year, she is so excited about Santa. She’s been telling me daily that Santa is coming soon and is bringing her presents. When I ask her what kinds of presents she wants, the answer is never the same. One day it’s Paw Patrol, the next it’s Minnie, and sometimes she’ll say she wants blocks.

I’m still trying to nail down what I’m serving for breakfast, but I’m thinking maybe cinnamon bun French toast casserole. That’s something I can make on Christmas Eve and simply pop in the oven in the morning as we’re opening presents. As much as I love being in my kitchen, I’d rather be able to prep everything in advance and spend that time with my family.

Something that can’t be overlooked for Christmas morning is the perfect set of pjs. We’re not a family that wears matching outfits, but I do like to wear something festive and comfy. I found the cutest nightgown and socks to wear as I’m juggling my camera in one hand and coffee in the other. It’s something you can re-wear all winter long.
