Favorite Cup of Tea

Good morning, readers.  If you follow me on Instagram you probably know that I have an addiction to tea.  Especially now that I have a tea kettle, I tend to make hot tea almost every night.  Although we also have a Keurig coffee maker, there’s just something very homey about making a cup of tea at night.

Now that I’m coming down with a nasty head cold, all I want at night is something hot and tea is the perfect fix for me.  My favorite type of tea at the moment is Tetley Black and Green.  The amazing team over at Tetley sent me a box to review and I’ve been using it almost every night since I received it!

Tetley Tea Review - via simply-nicole.com

I’ve been a huge fan of Tetley for a few years now.  Bryan’s family drinks a lot of the British Blend and over the years I’ve grown to love the brand as well.  Recently, Tetley launched its new Black & Green Blend, which gives tea drinkers the best of both in one cup: full flavored black tea taste with the amazing benefits of green tea.  Since I love both black and green teas, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to taste this new tea.  It’s by far my new favorite tea.  It’s perfect for those of you who love both black and green tea.  In my opinion it does taste more like green tea, but the color is definitely darker like black tea.  Either way it’s delicious.

If you’d like to test out the Black & Green tea from Tetley, their website is offering a $1 off a box! To find a store in your area that offers Tetley, check out their Store Locator.  You can also purchase the tea in bulk from Amazon.

Did you know:

  • Tea drinkers are more likely than non-tea drinkers (83% vs. 78%) to fit exercise into their lives.
  • More tea drinkers than non tea drinkers (86% vs. 78%) have had sex
  • More tea drinkers say that trying new things makes them happy (40% vs. 27%) and that it’s important that they’re adventurous (27% vs. 17%)

My favorite add-in to this tea is a teaspoon of coconut sugar.  I’ve been loving coconut sugar recently and have been using that in my tea instead of white refined sugar.  Organic coconut palm sugar is an unrefined brown sugar with a deep caramel flavor (very similar to brown sugar).  It is made by tapping the nectar from the coconut palm tree flower and drying the juice in a large kettle drum.  The juice condenses into a whole brown sugar.

I’ve been using the brand Wholesome Sweeteners as seen above.  I believe that I bought this at Giant, but I know for sure you can purchase on Amazon for under $6.  It’s also a great alternative for brown sugar in baking!

FTC: Tetley sent me a box of tea to review.  No other compensation was provided.  As always, all opinions are my own.

I AM SERIOUSLY loving the tea I am sipping on right now – it’s Mint Cocoa! I picked it up at the store yesterday, it’s a HOLIDAY TEA! wahoooo!

MMM sounds awesome! I love mint flavored tea. What brand?

It’s Zhena’s Gypsy Tea! They have so many amazing flavors, it’s nuts! 😀

I love all kinds of tea – right now I am enjoying a new Winter Warrior blend I found at Silk Road yesterday.

But Tetley’s Chai is one of my faves, too.

And Celestial Seasonings has a Bengal Spice that is an awesome blend of herbs and spices… and their Seasonal Blends are great too.

Oh yea, also Stash Licorice Tea….. I better stop!

mmm, that sounds amazing. I haven’t tried some of those. Might be the next ones I pick up 🙂 thanks for sharing.

Always love my green tea, but recently I saw a vanilla bean flavor that I wanted to try. Might have to go get it, I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind since! I’ve never heard of coconut sugar! If it’s all natural, and not fake at all, I’d totally try it. I might have to look into it 🙂

Coconut sugar is the best. I haven’t tried baking with it just yet, but so far in my tea it’s really delightful!

i’ve heard of this tea! i’ve never tried to coconut sugar before though!

OMG it’s so delicious. Coconut sugar tastes a bit like brown sugar, so if you like that I think you’d like coconut sugar. I bought mine from our local Giant grocery store but they do have it online for sure.

Ive suddenly become tea, TOO!
Chocolate tea.
