Lately, I’ve been gravitating towards comfortable clothes that make me feel pulled together while I’m hanging around at home. There’s definitely weekends when I throw on my old college hoodie (the one with all the rips) and a pair of yoga pants and call it a day. But generally, I feel better overall when I put in a tiny bit of effort. Today, I’m sharing the new items in my closet that I’m loving for spring 2020. You’ll see a ton of stripes and pastels. What can I say?! They are timeless!
1. Target Universal Thread T-Shirt Dress: I have this t-shirt dress in dark gray and orange and they’re the most versatile items in my closet. You can wear it with a cardigan and sneakers now or by itself with sandals when the weather warms up. I usually don’t buy t-shirt dresses because they aren’t the most flattering, but this one is cut well, really affordable, and doesn’t hang like a potato sack. Highly recommend!
2. Vans Leather Slip-on Shoes: You’ve probably seen these all over my InstaStories, because I’ve been wearing them every time I go outside. I’ve had a pair in black for years now, and finally ordered the white when they were extremely discounted during the Nordstrom sale a few weeks ago. A lot of people have the canvas version, but I prefer the leather so I can easily wipe them clean when they inevitably get dirty. Plus, the perforated leather gives it a more unique look.
3. H&M Satin Cami PJs: H&M is killing it right now with their pj sets. This one has the cutest lace detail on the top and shorts. I have the light blue, but it comes in green, black, and rose.
4. Loft Striped Dolman Shirt: If you purchase anything from Loft in the coming months, you have to get this top. I wear it at least once a week and it gives me major Meghan Markle vibes which I love. I’m a sucker for blue and white striped anything – hence the nightgown above. You can wear it with leggings, but I prefer rolling up the sleeves and tucking it into skinny jeans for a more pulled together look.
5. Urban Outfitters Cozy V-Neck Top: I’ve had my eye on this top for months now. MONTHS. Every time it comes in stock, it sells out. I was finally able to order it in ivory and can’t wait until it gets delivered. It apparently runs large, so size down. I’ll be stalking the shipment tracker until it arrives. I see myself wearing this top all the time!
6. Target Stars Above Nightgown: I tried on this nightgown a few months ago and left without it, but realized I really wanted it. I’m the only person on the planet who would notice this, but the thread is a really cool holographic color. So that’s fun. It’s really comfy and not too long (For sizing reference, I’m 5 foot 3 and it hits a couple inches above my knee).
7. Target Stars Above Pajama Shorts Set: I’ve been obsessed with pj sets for a while now. They just make me happy. On the weekends, I wear them for the majority of the day so why not find something cute!? This set from Target is so soft. You guys seem to love it too, because a ton of you purchased it recently. It seems to sell out quickly, so get your hands on this while you can.
8. H&M Striped Flannel Nightgown: This looks just like the nightgown above from Target, but it’s pink stripes instead of blue. Nightgowns are a new favorite for me and I can’t stop buying them. I used to think they looked too grandmom-y, but now I’m embracing them. They pair great with crossword puzzles and a large blanket. This one from H&M looks way more expensive than it is. It’s on sale right now for $10!
