It’s Friday yet again! This week I only put in 2 miles so far, so I need to really get 4 miles completed today. I won’t be able to run on Saturday because Bry and I are heading down to Washington DC really early. My long run will happen on Sunday. For whatever reason, I like doing my long run when no one else is in the gym – which is typically weekend mornings.
Let’s take a look at my Friday Favorites for this week. This week’s theme is Favorite Videos.
- My Fitfluential “Road to 13.1” video for this week. It focused on my blog post from yesterday, Realizations from an 8 mile run. I received so many positive comments on that post and I thank all of you for sharing your own running realizations. It was a pleasure to read each and every story.
- The Glee episode from last night. It was such a tear-jerker. The whole episode kept my on the edge of my seat and the ending did not disappoint. Particularly, I’m in LOVE with their rendition of “The Scientist” by Coldplay. Does anyone else think Finn is the hottest yet this season?
Katie Jablonski’s “Grief”. Katie is one of my favorite choreographers. I think she’s based out of Chicago, but hopefully one day I get to see one of her shows. All of her students aren’t even in college yet. Some of them are in middle school, I think. This video is from 2009, but one of my favorite dance pieces ever.
Obama singing Justin Beiber. No description for this one. Just watch

- What is your favorite YouTube video this week?
- Do you watch Glee? Do you think Finn is super cute?
- How many miles are you running this weekend?
I’m hoping to put in 8-10 miles today!!
I have to get in a 5K at race pace today! Planning to do it after running some errands today.
I could not agree more that “The Scientist” Coldplay cover last night on Glee was amazing!
I, too, and working towards my first half in November! It’s such a fun journey!
Ohmygoodness!! I’m LOVING these videos! I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of time it took to make the Obama Bieber cover — I can’t even imagine having enough talent to do that!!
And Glee always gives me that weird feeling in my stomach — you know, the one where something is just so beautiful that it hits you on a whole other level. They’re just so … raw. It’s truly spectacular.
It’s videos like this that humble you and make you realize that while you may be good at some things, there is a whole world of talents and abilities at which others excel. I love that everyone has something different to offer the world.
Good luck with your miles today!! You need to go into it with a positive attitude — they’ll drag and upset you otherwise. Don’t forget, you’re running for fun and you have nothing to lose!!
Have fun in DC this weekend!
AH yes Glee had my heart in its hands!
