Friday Favorites

Good morning, readers.  Guess what?  It’s Friday!  Woop Woop!  Woop Woop!  It’s rather dreary and cold in my area, but sometimes I think that’s the best type of day when you just want to relax and watch TV.  Am I right?

My Friday Favorites this week would have to revolve around this amazing product I was sent called Sun Cups.  I’ll be honest, sometimes when I get products sent to me I don’t even mention them on the blog because they are horrible.  These however were AMAZING.  Last night we opened these and I fell in love.  I didn’t get a chance to try them all yet, but the original milk chocolate cups are so delicious.  So what am I talking about?

Sun Cups are nut free, gluten free sunflower butter cups.  Holy moley.  Even Bryan tried it and said it was really good.  It tastes very similar to a Reese’s peanut butter cup, but not as grainy.  You know when you bite into a Reese’s the peanut butter has a grainy texture?  Well these are as smooth as butter!

When you open the wrapper they even look similar to Reese’s.

But the inside is just creamy and smooth!  Bryan was surprised that the product had no nuts in it, just sunflower seed butter; because it really did taste like a nut butter.

Here are some facts about the Milk Chocolate Sun Cups:

INGREDIENTS:

  • organic milk chocolate (organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter, organic whole milk powder, organic cocoa liquor)
  • organic sunflower seed
  • organic powdered sugar
  • organic white chocolate (organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter, organic milk powder)
  • organic cocoa butter
  • sea salt

ALLERGENS: Dairy.  Does not contain soy, gluten, peanuts or tree nuts.  Their facilities are nut and gluten-free.

You can order them online from their website or use their store finder to locate a grocer in your area.  If you live in the Philly suburbs like me, you can find these at all the local Wegmans.

I would probably only try the mint one. I had a bad baking incident with sunflower seed butter and it completely changed how it tasted to me, sounds dramatic, but it’s true hahaha. But I think I would be willing to at least give the dark chocolate sunflower seed butter one a taste, anything is better than peanut butter 🙂

Eek! I hate bad baking moments or bad food moments in general. To this day I can’t have cinnamon.
