Friday Favorites

Good morning. It’s Friday! Wahoo! This week was just an OK one. I wasn’t feeling too great on Monday so I stayed home from work, and all week I’ve just felt bleh. I’m glad that the weekend is almost here and that I can finally relax for a few days. Here are some things I have planned this weekend:

Saturday: I chipped a sliver of the bonding off my front tooth this week so I have an emergency dentist appointment early afternoon. After that terrible visit is over, we’re going to the Script and One Republic concert with our friends Lauren and Mike. I am super excited to see the Script again. If you didn’t know, they are one of my favorite bands.

Sunday: We’re spending time with our friends Andrew and Becki. They live in Atlanta, but are coming up North to attend a wedding. We’re going to see them for a view hours before they fly back home.

Okay, let’s get to my Friday Favorites.

FAVORITE PRODUCT

My favorite product this week is a handmade scarf that I recently received from ShopNatalieMay. The print I have is called Neon Pink Aztec. The scarf absolutely stunning. I can’t believe how many compliments I received last Friday when I wore it to work. Every one seemed to love it: my boss, the lady at Wawa, my co-workers. It truly is a one of a kind piece.

The scarf is wrapped around a lightweight chunky gold chain and can be worn sleek or fluffy. I chose to wear it sleek for work. When I bring this scarf to Jamaica, I’ll probably wear it more fluffy and casual.

FAVORITE ACTIVITIES

This week, although I felt like crap, I did some fun things. I went shopping with my sister and cousin early in the week at the King of Prussia Mall. I was on the hunt for honeymoon clothes and found this adorable Lush dress at Nordstrom. It’s possibly the most comfortable item of clothing that I own. It’s still available at Nordstrom & 25% off! On Thursday night we met our friends Danica and Rob at Plaza Azteca in Plymouth Meeting. It’s one of our favorite spots. We went for drinks and a light dinner. I ended up ordering my usual margarita, but could only drink about half of it because it was massive! For dinner I opted for cheese quesadillas! I love their a la carte menu. I see Danica at least once every two weeks; sometimes every week. Although I see her pretty frequently, we always have something crazy to talk about.

The next Friday Favorite isn’t really an event, but it’s a favorite nonetheless. Last weekend we picked up a bunch of fruit at the grocery store, so this week I was on a mission to finish it all. I made this delicious fruit salad and wish I had more fruit so I could make it again today. In the bowl: two peaches, one pear, a handful of grapes and a drizzle of honey. It was amazing!
