It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

… or any other holiday that you may celebrate. Bry decided to put up our Christmas lights last night. The weather here has been very warm for this time of the year. Thus, putting up decorations last night was ideal. I still thought it was too cold to be hanging lights, so I stayed warm inside. He did an amazing job though!

love all the sparkle.

I, of course, had to make him pose in front of his masterpiece.  It just made sense.  Plus, I think he looks rather manly in his work boots & gloves 🙂

smile!

Onto other news… my run today was okay. I thought I would have to skip on my run for this afternoon because it looked like it was going to rain this morning. I, however, needed the endorphins. I think I’m coming down with some sort of ear infection. I took Sudafed to clear out my sinuses, but it didn’t seem to work. A fever better not be in my near future. Hot tea, here I come!

loving the Under Armour tights I bought. getting use out of them!

Here are my splits from my run today.

Distance: 3.11 mi
Duration: 31:05
Mile 1:  10:03
Mile 2:  10:10
Mile 3:  9:44

Afterwards, I basically crashed down onto the floor and hugged my foam roller.  No, really I did.  After some light stretching,  it’s now time for lunch.

mr. foam roller =)

What’s your fastest 5K?
What did you/are you having for lunch today?

i did 3 miles (almost a 5k haha) once outside in the summer in 25-something.. forget exactly!

pretty lights 🙂

My fastest 5K on record was 25:28 this past August in Ardmore. I actually was coming off a serious head cold and figured I’d just finish the race and go pass out. When I cleared the first mile and the timer they had (it was 3 loops of a neighborhood) said 8:16 I pushed as hard as I could for the next two laps. I’m hoping a sub-25 is in my near future!

Lunch today was 3-bean chili from the caf (too salty!), a raspberry chobani, small philly pretzel, and two of the cookies I made Sat. I’m slipping into a food coma as I type!

I’m running my next 5K in a few weeks. I hoping for a sub-30. haha.seems so high, but as a new runner, I can’t expect to run a sub-25.
