About the Products:

The lovely people over at Julian Bakery sent me two loaves of their AMAZING bread. All of their breads are Low Carb, Wheat Free & Gluten Free. They sent me over Smart Carb 1, and Smart Carb 2.

Smart Carb #1 : I ate this bread toasted alongside a bowl of tomato soup. And it was PERFECT. It had a slight sourdough taste, and very filling.  It is more grainy than your average bread, which makes it extremely delicious and hearty.
Smart Carb #2: I had this bread toasted also, with a smidgen of butter. So delicious. Not too sweet, but just enough. The perfect balance of juicy raisins and cinnamon. I like this bread in the mornings, or as a dessert! Probably the best cinnamon raisin bread I’ve ever had.

About the company:

The bakery began in the historical town of Julian, in the mountains above San Diego, California. The business eventually expanded to the seaside community of La Jolla, California. Barbara Squier is a nutritionist and baking visionary. She lives a spiritual and natural lifestyle. Their breads have all of the amino acids essential for life. They grind their organic grains in a stone mill before baking. This prevents rancid flour. It is the same concept as fresh ground coffee. All of the main grains are organically grown. They are free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and very safe for children.
