My 2018 Christmas Wishlist

November 18, 2018

It took me extra long to pull together my wishlist this year, because I only wanted to add things I really really love. I’m trying to live by the motto of “less is more.” I’d rather have a few really high quality pieces than a bunch of crap in my closet. Moving has really inspired me to keep only the best of the best, and get rid of anything that makes me feel meh.

Keep reading to see what’s on my wishlist this year.

My Wishlist

1. Sézane Joy Sweater: I’ve been very selective with sweaters. I feel like cheap options always tend to pill and look dingy after a few wears. I recently was introduced to a French brand called Sézane, and I fell in love with so many of their pieces – especially their sweaters. There’s actually two on my wishlist this year. The first is their Joy sweater. I’m obsessed with the block detailing and crew neck. It would look good with jeans or with work pants.

2. Sézane Zack Sweater: Next up is the Zack sweater by Sézane. This one has slightly puffed sleeves and a higher neckline than the Joy. I personally want it in the ecru color, but they also sell it in mint and navy. I feel like this is a classic sweater that you’ll want in your closet for years to come.

3. J.Crew Cocoon Coat: At the top of my wishlist this year is the Cocoon Coat from J.Crew. So many people own this coat, so that I wasn’t sure I really wanted it. Was it worth the hype? Hell yes it is. I tried it on recently and it’s incredibly gorgeous and will elevate any look. It runs big though, so definitely size down.

4. Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan: I got this cardigan last year in the minx color and wear it at least once a week. In fact, there’s weekends when I never take it off. It’s that good. A lot of people rave about the Barefoot Dreams blankets, well… this cardigan is made from a similar material. It’s so, so soft. It’s on the pricier side, but it never pills.

5. Birdies The Starling Flats: Meghan Markle was recently photographed in these flats, so of course I need them in my closet #stylegoals. They are currently sold out in every size, but I’m crossing my fingers they restock soon.

6. Ralph Lauren Laletta Leather Bootie: You can’t go wrong with Ralph Lauren boots. I mentioned in a previous post that I’ve had my Ralph Lauren riding boots for 8 years before they started looking worn. I realized that I don’t have short boots that are nice enough to wear out to dinner, but also weather-appropriate. I’m a huge fan of these RL leather booties. They have a rubber sole, which is a huge selling point when you live in a climate with lots of snow.

7. Slip Sleep Mask: This sleep mask is another item towards the top of my wishlist this year. It’s kind of random, but hear me out. I sleep with a baby monitor next to my face, and it’s fairly bright even on the lowest setting. I could turn off the video and just have the sound on, but I’m paranoid and I like checking in on Vienna throughout the night if I wake up. A sleep mask would solve all my problems, and we all know the importance of sleep, especially for a mom of an infant.

8. AllSaints Kita Leather Bag: I’m not the kind of girl who has a ton of bags in her closet. I’ve been carrying my Lucky Brand bucket bag for a few years and it looks brand new (AND I bought it gently used from ebay). It takes me a while to pick out bags and I only buy ones that will get a lot of wear. Right now, I’ve got my eye on this AllSaints Kita bag. It’s the perfect size and has a cross-body option – great for when I’m carrying Vienna around.

9. Cuyana Leather Travel Set: This set has been on my wishlist for a few years, so I have to mention it here. The set can be monogrammed and comes in a bunch of colors. It’s a great gift to give someone who has it all.

10. Sézane Gabriella Clutch: I was getting ready for a wedding a couple of months ago and realized that I don’t have a black clutch. Seems like a closet staple. This one from Sézane is handmade and has a unique detail around the seams.

11. Schott Zwiesel Pure Pinot Noir Glasses: I have cheap glasses from YEARS ago, and would love an upgrade. These are my new favorite. The shape is classic, but a bit cool and different. You know? A set of 6 is on sale right now for $67. If you like these too, definitely buy them before they go back up in price.

12. InnoGear Diffuser: I want to start using essential oils more regularly especially as a way to make my home smell good. This diffuser has over 14,000 positive reviews on Amazon, so I’d say it’s a winner.

13. Monogrammed Doormat: I’ve been adding things very slowly for our new house. I don’t want to buy anything that I don’t absolutely love. This doormat, however, will definitely be added to my shopping cart after the holidays.

14. Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Cologne: Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt is my signature scent, but I would love another option to swap between. The Wild Bluebell cologne smells sweet, but not too sweet. It’s got notes of bluebell, persimmon and white musk.

15. Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment: Avocado eye treatment… doesn’t that sound luxurious? Since my nighttime routine is really short these days, I use just a few beauty products to get me relaxed before bed. If I don’t receive this eye treatment for Christmas, it’s going into my shopping cart ASAP.

16. Kiehl’s Ultimate Hand Salve: My hands get super dry in the colder months, so this hand salve will be in my car at all times. I love anything from Kiehl’s, so this one is sure to be a winner.
