My Morning Routine

Each day differs a bit, but lately I’ve fallen into a nice routine in the mornings.  Although it doesn’t include a workout, I’m just glad I wake up early enough to have some time to relax and drink my coffee!

Step 1:  My alarm goes off and I roll around in bed for a while until Bry gets out of bed.

Step 2:  I usually wake up like a zombie, make my way downstairs and walk over to my best friend.  I pick up my favorite coffee pod at the moment, Green Mountain Coffee Pumpkin, and started brewing.

Step 3:  Drink my coffee/eat breakfast on the couch while watching the news, typing up a blog post, checking emails, and reading other blogs.

Step 4:  Head to the bathroom to brush my teeth, put on my makeup and do something half interesting with my hair.  *Side note, I’m SO happy I’m getting a hair cut today because my ends are fried!

Step 5:  Turn on the iron if I have wrinkly pants or tops.  Proceed to get dressed.

Step 6:  Make sure tweets promoting my blog post have been scheduled for the day.

Step 7:  Make lunch.

Step 8:  Gather my purse, lunch, phone, car keys and head out the door!

Step 9:  Drive to work.

Nothing out of the ordinary.  Unfortunately I haven’t been running in the mornings lately, because of my new work schedule.  However, I’ve been trying to get my runs in after work so that I don’t fall behind on my training schedule.

Stats from my run on Tuesday night that I talked about on my last blog post.

Last night after work I almost fell asleep in my car on the ride home, so I did not go to the gym yesterday.  For whatever reason, last night I was completely exhausted.  I came home from work, sat on the couch and stared at the wall for a while and Bryan was nice enough to prep dinner.

It was probably due to the lack of sleep from the night before.  On Tuesday night, Bry and I stayed up to watch Sons of Anarchy – a show he started watching form the first episode but I tagged along and got into it last season.  Crazy episode!  I won’t spoil anything for those who have yet to see it, but OMG.

up anywhere between 4:30 and 5, eat breakfast, run at 5:30. done between 6:40and6:45, shower, eat a second breakfast,then off to school!

i’ve been craving starbucks pumpkin spice latte, only reason i haven’t gotten it is because it is 90 degrees outside, just doesn’t feel like fall yet lol it must be fall weather for me to get it!!

I have it EVERY morning lol. I like it a lot better than regular flavored coffee with pumpkin creamer 🙂

Neat idea for a post! We used to play a game where I used to work to tell us things like this; morning routine, shower routine, end of day routine. It’s a neat ice-breaker and way to find out about others! My am routine is a tad different as I workout in the morning. If I don’t do it 1st thing, I’ll slack!

That’s so cool, Katie! It is a nice ice-breaker b/c you get to find out things you probably wouldn’t have other wise! Where did you work?

I am so jealous of your morning routine. Mine is – wake up to alarm at 6:15. Out of shower by 6:30. Out the door by 6:50. Wet top-knot with my hair, always.

Oh goodness!! I like waking up really early so I have time to relax in the morning. Gives me time to blog, drink coffee etc. Top-knots are chic, so you’re good to go!

So cool reading this post! Definitely got to know you better! Loved it!!!!! I don’t really ever drink coffee. I become a grouch if I do 😉

I’m a grouch if I don’t have coffee!! LOL.
