O’ Christmas Tree

  /
December 12, 2012

This past weekend, I told you that Bryan and I bought our first Christmas tree together.  Although it was a rainy adventure, it was still very festive.  We didn’t get around to decorating the tree until Monday night, because we wanted to make sure all of the branches had fallen and were completed dry.

Although we didn’t have a variety of ornaments, I think we did a good job with what we had.

What’s on our tree?

  • glass ornaments (silver, gray, and glitter) from Target
  • white LED lights
  • strands of red beads
  • tree topper from Crate and Barrel

We didn’t have any random ornaments, because we didn’t buy any yet.  I think each year we’ll buy one special ornament that reflects something special from the year.  I’m thinking this year I should try and find an engagement ring ornament.  That would be pretty fitting.  I also plan on hitting up Target after the holidays and getting random ornaments at a discounted price for next year.

I made the decorating experience even better with the Pandora Christmas station and the Michael Buble Christmas special.  Bryan kept asking why Michael Buble gets his own Christmas special… my response – because he’s Michael Buble, has an amazing voice, and appeals to the masses. Smile

I love your tree!!!

I grew up with having multi coloured lights on my tree, the last few years I’ve just have had simple blue lights on my tree and white lights on my two plant stands. (I leave the lights on the plant stand all year long though)

My tree is full of ornaments that have a meaning behind them and a few simple ornaments from a big box store to help cover the tree as this years tree is huge.

I love the comment about Bryan asking why Michael Buble gets his own Christmas special. Jim likes to call him “boob-lee”. Tree looks great!

YAYYYY new blog Leslee! hahah i love michael boob-lee. πŸ™‚

Im jewish but we’ve started decorating a LOT since my daughter has gotten older…

that’s fun! i know a lot of jewish friends who also decorate

The tree looks great! I think Chris’s sister got us an “engaged” ornament waaay back in 2010! πŸ™‚ One of my favorite ornaments is our “Just Married” Minnie and Mickey one that we purchased on our honeymoon… ah memories! πŸ™‚

Oh, and we definitely go with white lights!

Aww, I’ve been looking for an “engaged” ornament – I think Pier 1 has one.

White lights all the way! I love special ornaments that have meaning behind them. Personal creations have a ton of cute ornaments that you can have personalized with your name and dates. I love all their Christmas decorations.

YES! Bryan and I need to find an engaged ornament for this year. We’ll date it and get another one each year for a special occasion

I love your tree! I’m looking for an engagement ornament too. If I find one I’ll make sure to tweet you!

Yay – thanks lady for looking out!

Your Christmas tree is really cute!I haven’t had a tree for the last few years, but I definitely prefer white lights!

I’m a white lights girl all the way. There’s a lot of holiday songs I love (I think that comes from years of being in Christmas concerts), but my all time favorite is “O Holy Night.”

I LOVE O Holy Night! And Jingle Bell Rock – for Fun πŸ™‚

love your tree! decorating it with Christmas music always gets me in the spirit! (:

so true! only way to do it. LOL. And Michael Buble is an added bonus πŸ˜‰
