Last night I decided to stay up to watch Big Brother (obviously) and the VMA’s. I loved tweeting with all of you about the VMA’s performances and winners. Instead of writing an endless post about all the stuff that happened, here’s a list of my top 5 VMA moments.
- ADELE. Omg. Could she be any more amazing and perfect. Her performance of “Someone like you” was so moving and heartfelt. You can hear the passion in her voice. She’s flawless always. End of story.
- JUSTIN BIEBER. He looked like such a tool. Sorry, but the red pants and the glasses? Fine, you’re trying to make a fashion statement, I get it… but did you just thank “not only God, but Jesus”? Did you take a religion class ever? They are the same person.
- AMY WINEHOUSE. The tribute done by Bruno Mars was great. “Valerie” is one of my favorite songs by Amy, and I was glad to see it covered well by Bruno Mars.
- BEYONCE. As much as I go back and forth with whether I like her or not, I did not like the song she performed. However, at the end when she confirmed the baby rumors, Jay Z looked so proud on the sidelines.
- JERSEY SHORE LADIES. Ugh, what were you wearing? Glitter, sequins, animal print… just no.
This morning I actually got out of bed when my alarm went off at 6:30 and got ready to go for my morning run. Here’s the stats for today.

It was such a pretty morning. I love getting up right after the sun rises. Hardly anyone is driving to work yet, and it’s just very calming. VERY chilly though. I had shorts on when I first stepped outside, but opted to run back in and change into my long Nike pants.
After my shower, I decided to make breakfast. Usually I’ll just grab some cereal, but today I needed extra fueling. 1 egg + 1 egg white, 2 pieces of Morning Star fake “bacon”, 1/2 a Belgian waffle with raspberry jam.
Very delish.

I love this fake bacon! It's the only one I've ever tried though. It actually tastes like bacon… my boyfriend can vouch for that. I microwave it for about 20 sec. then flip them. then put them back in for another 20 sec or until they are hard and crunchy!
how was this fake bacon? i got the lightlife kind which tasted ok (i didn't cook it right) but it didn't even look like bacon. this looks much more authentic. and kudos for you for going on your run! i'm first to stay inside when it's cold…or hot… or really all the time…
that breakfast looks amazing! what does the veggie bacon taste like? It always makes me laugh because it doesn't look "real" if you know what I mean.
I looove Adele too- someone like you is such a gut-wrenching yet beautiful song.

ah, great job with the AM run! i'm completely hopeless with that. i'd rather be on the treadmill at 10pm than 6am, hehe.
i love adele too 🙂 my favorite is Rolling in the Deep (no matter how overplayed it is). and i'm with you on beyonce, not really sure how much i like her.
