Can’t get enough

Before I get into what my post title means, I want to mention that I think I have an addiction to Target.  As mentioned in many other posts, trips to Target make me happy.  Yesterday was no exception.  Bry and I went to Target last night before dinner to pick up some essentials.  Because I was absolutely freezing at the Race for Hope last weekend, I realized I needed to pick up some cheap gloves to hold me over until I get moisture wicking gloves at a later date (birthday or Christmas, anyone!?).

champion socks and xhileration gloves

I spent a lot of time in the sock isle during my Target visit, but I knew I wanted to buy the Champion socks before I got there.  The majority of my running clothes are made by Champion, and I’ve always been a huge fan, so I knew these wouldn’t disappoint.

As many of you probably already know, I ran my first 5K last weekend. Although I didn’t do as great as I had planned, I can’t get enough of running.  Today I am going out on my first long run. I’m not going to focus too much on speed.  Being that I can’t get enough of running, yes my friends… I’ve signed up for my second 5K.  This one is a Jingle Ball Run, and I plan on wearing obnoxious holiday gear including jingle bells on my shoes.  I have a few weeks to keep my running schedule consistent, and my goal is to run the 5K in under 30min. in order to PR at this race.  My love for dressing in holiday attire can be seen below.

I love the holidays so much, I dressed up as Santa one year for Halloween!
& look, here is me as Santa a few years back 😉

That second photo needs some explanation. When my sister, cousins, and I were younger we used to put on plays for our family during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not sure why, but it was always a tradition.  The photo above must have been a play about the pilgrims and Santa Claus.

Are you running a Jingle Ball run this December?
