Engagement Rings

No, I am not engaged.  No, I haven’t gone shopping for an engagement ring (well, that one time but that wasn’t a serious occasion).  I’m not going to lie though.  I do love looking at sparkly jewelry.  I’ve done a lot of research on engagement rings: the cut, color, clarity; thus, when I am ready to seriously go shopping for one, I will have some sort of knowledge about rings.  My favorite cut of diamonds tend to be cushion cut, princess cut, and asscher cut.  Let’s take a look at my favorite rings.

As you can tell, I tend to like the small band with diamonds.
The picture above is a asscher cut diamond.  I like these because they are unique, but still timeless.
This next set of rings are very similar to the first set.  As you can tell, I really like simple thin bands.
These diamonds are princess cut, which are very popular.  My mother’s engagement ring was a princess
cut diamond.  Just goes to show how timeless this shape of diamond is as well.
Although I am not getting a ring any time in the near future, it can’t hurt to browse online (+ sometimes by yourself in stores, haha).  I do know that I want the following:
  1. at least 1 carat center diamond
  2. small diamonds on band
What do you look for in an engagement ring?
