I’m really trying to complete my July goals.  Yesterday, I woke up with every intention of going to the gym with Bry in the morning, but it just didn’t happen.  I stayed up late to watch the Olympic Trials.  It was the last night for women’s gymnastics and the team was determined!  My favorite,  Jordyn Wieber made it!  Oh, by the way the men’s team joined to hear the women’s reveal, and so many of the men are HOT.

AHH, gorgeous.  During lunch, a few of us went to Dunkin Donuts for iced coffee.  Dunkin was premoting their new Oreo iced coffee.  I named it “The Best Drink I’ve ever had,” however about 1/3 of the way through I started getting a stomach ache.  EEK.  It was a bit too sweet.  Maybe next time I’ll get a small instead of a medium.

When I got home from work, there was a present waiting for me in the mailbox!  My pair of orange “Marathon” compression socks c/o Pro Compression came!  I love these babies, and can’t wait to buy a new pair of shorts to match these.

I did end up going to the gym after work.  That is why the title of this post is “In 2s.”  Oddly enough I ended up doing 2 miles and a 2 minute plank.

I had to take a few walking breaks throughout, but I ended up sprinting the last .80 mi.

The gym was pretty packed half way through my workout.  Both treadmills were taken and there were 2 people on the bikes and 1 on the elliptical.  This might not seem like a lot of people to you, but my complex’s gym is super tiny.

So far, I have 2 mi/15mi completed for my weekly goal.  Not sure what I’ll do the rest of the week, but I think this week might be a good time to try a HIIT workout!

That is obviously my serious face.  OR my I-hope-these-people-don’t-think-I’m crazy-taking-photos-of-myself face.  Whatever.

After running on the treadmill, I worked on my abs.  Like I said in my July Goals post, I wanted to do a 4 minute plank everyday.  I didn’t realize when I made that goal how hard that really is, so I’m on the path to doing 4 minutes hopefully by the end of the month.  I’m currently up to 2 minutes.  Progress, people, progress.

I ended my night with some baked breaded eggplant with bbq sauce for dipping and the Bachelorette.  Can you believe how amazing Jef’s letter was?!  So cute.  But the kid needs a hair cut pronto!

Although I do like Jef’s personality, Arie looks “stupid hot (as Emily said)” in his little  race car outfit.

What did you do for exercise on Monday?

Who is your favorite on the Bachelorette?

Who’s your favorite female US gymnast?

I really want to try the Oreo iced coffee, but now I know to go with a small!

OMG YES. It’s delicious but really sweet. I got mine with cream and sugar. I’ll be getting smalls from now on. I had a coupon for a medium which is why I got the bigger size initially.

Lol I’m weird about taking those pics in the mirror, too, especially at a gym.

Nice job on the run! And the plank – smart to make the 4-min an endgoal. If you’re already at 2, you can totally do it. (And you inspire me to; maybe I’ll join up!)
