September was a crazy month. I left one job, started a new job, completed my longest runs yet, and even registered for my first 10K with Runner’s World Magazine!
Overall, I didn’t complete a lot of my September goals, partially because I had a LOT going on. Starting a new job is always difficult at first. You have to get into a new routine, learn a lot in a short amount of time, and get little sleep. I’m looking forward to a more stable schedule for October.
Let’s take a look at September goals.
Personal Goals
- Finish reading the “4 Hour Work Week” and “The Defining Decade.” (did not complete)
- Clean out the photo file on my iPhone (completed)
- Get rid of clutter in my bedroom. (some what completed)
Fitness Goals
- Continue my half marathon training plan. (completed)
- Do at least 5 sun salutations every morning. (did not complete)
- Do at least 2 runs outdoors every week = breakup with the treadmill. (did not complete)
Blog Goals
- Upload a new banner. (did not complete)
- Get 700 followers on Twitter. (almost!)
- Continue my Road to 13.1 video series on the Fitfluential blog (completed)
Dachshund love
In case you didn’t know, which I’m sure that you already did know… I have an obsession with mini dachshunds. I must get one soon. It will make my life so much better. Realistically, I know that I’m not getting one so I have to use my time wisely.

Do you have a dog? If so, what kind and what’s the name?
-
Did you accomplish your goals for September?
-
Do you typically like larger dogs or smaller dogs?
I have a queensland heeler, its my family’s dog. one day i’ll get a pug for myself 🙂
i like them all, i’m an animal lover all the way!
aw pugs are super cute. i like all small dogs, but especially dachshunds!
I have a black pug — Stewie — who is the light of my life. lol 🙂
Stewie! The cutest name ever! If i get a weinie dog, I have so many names lined up.
I did accomplish most of my goals for September — I’ve made some pretty abstract goals for October though … more to incite a new lifestyle and way of thinking than anything. Pretty excited about it!
My dog is named Koda — she’s a lab/shepherd mix, but black and a total skinny-mini/runt of the pack so she doesn’t really look like you would expect. She was the family’s dog, but she’s all mine now. She’s such amazing company and I absolutely love her to death.
I’ve been contemplating getting a rescue Welsh corgie for a while now. Ohmygoodness, I love how their ears are bigger than their face!! When I get another dog (which I know I will, hopefully within the next couple of years), a corgie will definitely be the way I go!!
Congratulations on accomplishing your Sept. goals.
I can’t wait to figure out my Oct. goals.
Corgies are super cute. My bf’s sister wants one!
OK I am so weird because I adore the tiiiny dogs or the super big (we’re a bullmastiff family).
no in between for this misfit 🙂
LOL nothing in between! i love the tiny tiny dogs as well. not a fan of large dogs.
