Weekend Recap (8/2- 8/4)

August 5, 2013

I hope you all had a great weekend, because I sure did!  Aside from another wedding nightmare last night, the weekend was pretty amazing.  I get wedding nightmares at least a few times a month.  This time I forgot to buy wedding shoes, didn’t book a hotel for our guests, and lost my bouquet before the ceremony.  Oh, and my dress was white and BLACK.  Completely strange, but at least our first dance was magical!

Here’s some pictures to recap my weekend.

Friday

On most mornings, I turn on Pandora and listen to music as I’m getting ready for work.  On Friday, I turned on one of my random stations (I have probably 15 saved) and Destiny’s Child came on!  Talk about a good way to start my day.

After work on Friday, I came home and napped.  I was exhausted like I am on most Fridays.  I can never make plans to do anything exciting on Friday nights because I prefer to take a shower, put on PJs and lay around the house.

Saturday

On Saturday, I got to sleep in which felt amazing.  After breakfast and watching Orange is the New Black for a while, Bryan and I went food shopping.  We picked up some of our normal items, but also got a bunch of stuff because Leslee and her bf came over late on Saturday for game night.

We ate lots of snacks and listened to random music on the TV.  My favorite was the 90’s channel, where songs like this gem came on.

It was a really nice night.  We relaxed, watched Whose Line is it Anyway, played Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader and I eventually fell asleep on the couch.  I didn’t get to bed until after midnight and boy was I exhausted.  I knew I had to wake up semi-early on Sunday, so I got to bed as quickly as possible after our game night was over.

Sunday

On Sunday morning, Bryan and I drove out to Delaware to visit his friend at Brandywine Park.  If you live in my area, you MUST check out Brandywine Park.  It is so gorgeous.  I took probably 20 pictures because everything was gorgeous.  From the rolling hills, to the butterflies and “Hawk Point,” this place is perfect for yoga, running, or just walking around – like we did.

After exploring the park, Bryan and I stopped at this little hot-dog place called Johnnie’s Dog House before heading home.  I was very surprised, because they had a lot of vegetarian options.  They offer a vegetarian hot dog, veggie burger, and even a veggie sweet sausage.  I choose the veggie burger and ate every late bite.  I will be going back there.

On Sunday night, we watched our normal shows – Big Brother and the season finale of The Killing.  I was actually surprised when we found out who the killer was on the finale.  I also think the ending wasn’t the best.  I won’t say anything more than that, in case some of you haven’t seen it yet.

Talk to Me

Sounds like a great weekend (besides the nightmares)! Mine was relaxing, watched my normal Sunday Shows. But am so excited for Shark Week! I have a favorite (I guess it’s a park), it’s very hilly, 2.5 miles up hill, it’s defiantly tiring! But a fun challenge 🙂

PLEASE LAUGH AT ME I JUST DISCOVERED PANDORA-LOVE.
and my husband works there 🙂
