How I Spend My Nights Off

October 11, 2012

It’s Thursday.  The week is almost over.  Thank goodness.  It’s been a pretty busy week, especially when there was a lot of traveling around for work.  After work last night I had the night free and originally had some great things planned.

The second and third plans happened, but unfortunately I didn’t get to go for a run.  Yesterday after a meeting, we went to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch.  I ordered what I usually do – Waldorf Chicken Salad without the chicken.  Usually restaurants don’t have a problem with just excluding the meat.  This time, however it was embedded into the salad.  Instead of making a huge deal about it, I just used another fork and picked the chicken out of the salad.  The salad was delicious still, and it didn’t seem to matter.

I felt fine until around 6pm last night.  IDK if there was chicken juice or something that got onto the rest of the salad, but I felt super nauseous by dinner time last night.

Although the run never happened, I did get my car washed!

I love car washes!  My car definitely needed it.  It wasn’t a very thorough car wash, but for $3 you can’t beat it.

When I got home, I put on comfy clothes and plopped on the couch for some much needed TV time.  I put on Netflix immediately and turned on the Office.  I think I’m on Season 7.  Whichever season is the one before the one playing on TV.  I feel so connected to that show, because I’ve seen every episode from seasons 1-6.  My favorite episode?  Of course it’s Pam and Jim’s wedding episode!  I laughed, I cried.

Although I didn’t get a run finished, I didn’t stress out too much.  As I’ve said in a previous post recently, I hate running on a schedule.  There were some great comments about how people either like a schedule or they don’t.  I was so happy to hear that I’m not the only one who can’t seem to stay on a rigid training plan.

Talk to Me

  • Do you watch the office?  Who is your favorite character?
  • What do you like to do on your nights off?
  • Random question –> What is your favorite candle scent?  I need new candles LOL.

haven’t watched the office in ages!! so happy pam and jim got married though, i was rooting for them to get together before they did!!

hmmmm, pumpkin, anything fruity 🙂

I live off the schedule. Not necessarily time of day, but X amount of miles on a given day. It keeps me focused and on track.

Loved that episode.

I need to get into a routine again. When I was doing LiveFit, I loved it at first b/c it was short enough that I could do in the mornings before work.

I LOVE The Office. Jim & Pam are my favorites for sure! Right now I am loving this candle I got from Pier 1 – Caramel Pumpkin….I wish I could eat it!! lol

Jim and Pam are such sweethearts. Since watching them since the very first episode, I feel like I’ve grown with them 🙂

I burn cinnamon, pumpkin, and vanilla candles at the same time in the fall/winter. So soothing!! But vanilla is definitely the big winner.

I got my car washed the other day too! it was much needed! I don’t watch the office.. I actually dont’ watch many shows except boy meets world in the morning! {now thats a given} My favorite candle scent would have to be apples! yum!

I love apple candles for the kitchen. That reminds me that I’ll have to pick one up from bath and body works. i love candles and don’t burn them as much as I’d like!!

My husband and I love the Office, but we’re a few seasons behind… we always get them on DVD! It’s hard to pick a favorite character… I love Pam but find Angela to be pretty hysterical too!

HAHA Angela. She’s hilarious. I really love Jim and Pam, of course. Haha, what’s not to love.

dang.
no office here.
but I DO LOVE ME SOME VANILLA CANDLES.

that count? 🙂
